Not Applicable since it was an impromptu speech and there were no main ideas
that would have been least acceptable by the class.
4. How comfortable and confident did you feel during the speech?
During the speech, I felt relatively comfortable as I used the topic I had to recall on
happy and fun memories I had from my childhood. That made the speech a lot
easier to present to the class and made me feel comfortable and less anxious. I
also felt confident as well due to the same reason I had for feeling comfortable in
front of class.
5. What types of questions were asked by the audience? (Requests for information?
Requests for clarification? Questions about relevance of information? Challenges of
your reasoning? Other?)
6. Do the kinds of questions asked indicate anything to you about your preparation?
7. If you had it to do over again, what changes would you make in preparation,
support, organization, or delivery?
Due to it being an impromptu speech, there is no way to prepare for the speech. If I
had to do it over again, I think I would have used the same topic but I would have
organized my thoughts better to deliver the speech and I would look the audience
more while delivering my speech.
8. Were you convincing? Do you think you were able to persuade your audience? Why
or Why not?
Since it was an impromptu speech, there was no need for any persuasive additions
to the speech since it was more telling the class something about you than
convincing them of something.
9. What one goal do you have for improving content in your next speech?
One goal I have for improving the content in my next speech is having the ability to
know the topic before-hand to prepare and do research.
10. What one goal do you have for improving delivery in your next speech?
One goal I have for improving the delivery in my next speech is having the ability to
review my next topic before having to present which might lessen the anxiety I get
which turns into a shaky voice and my mind becoming blank.
