    Introduction

    This is the story about what happen if you find your soulmate. This story tells about
    the first love and last love. It is about the third President of Indonesia and the first Lady,
    The story about Habibie and Ainun. Rudy Habibie is a genius person and aircraft expert
    who has big dreams: serve the country, Indonesia by making planes to unite Indonesia.
    While Ainus is a clever young doctor with wide open career for her.

    Evaluation

    Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie and Rudi (Reza Rahardian) came back to Indonesia
    leaving his research to reach for his doctor of engineering in German for a while
    because of his tuberculosis. When he came home, Rudi met Hasri Ainun besari or
    Ainun (Bunga Citra Lestari) her friend at school and she had been a doctor at that time.
    They fell in love then they got married. Rudi brought Ainun to move to German. Rudy
    Habibie who was genius and the expert about aircraft had desire to serve for Indonesia
    by making an airplane. This movie tells about the love story of Habibie and Ainun, for
    Habibie, Ainun was eyes for him to see his life. For Ainun, Habibie was her everything.
    This is also about the love for the country.

    Interpretation

    Habibie & Ainun is based on the real story of two big figures of this country. The
    plot emphasizes to the love story of Habibie and Ainun since the first met until they
    were apart. Their love journey is as simple as common comuple in which each
    relationship experience ups and downs. Their Sincerity and loyalty make the audiences
    cry. The story began when Habibie (Reza Rahardian) who studied in German came
    back home to Indonesia. He met Aiunun (Bunga Citra Lestari) who was his friend at
    senior high school at that time. The fell in love and they did not need much time to get
    married. Ainun accompanied Habibie to continue their lives in German. Many barriers
    they had been through. They were so patient and they understood each other until
    Ainun’s death seperated them. The detail of story makes audience feel the sincerity of
    love given by Habibie and Ainun to never give up to live the life which is full of barriers.
    The scene when Habibie purposed Ainun in pedicab is the simple romantic scene but it
    is touching and amazed people. The love story becomes the focus that makes the big
    and important politic figure of Habibie was just only supporting. Beside acting aspect,
    setting and cinematography which reached good quality, the side of make-up was in
    bad quality. In fact, this aspect is one of he most important aspects in the success of this
    kind of biopic.

    Summary

    Overall, this movie is good. Beside the learning of true love, sincerity, loyalty for
    commitment, nationalism, this movie also gives the real depiction of incident in
    1998-1999 such as the tragedies of TRISAKTI and SEMANGGI which are almost
    forgot. Thus, this movie is worth watching.
