MAINTENANCE MANUAL

1. General
A. This section gives the procedures to do the cleaning of the high-stage bleed-valve filter.
B. The high-stage bleed-valves are installed in the LH and RH bleed ducting on the outboard side of
the engines.
E. The abbreviations and acronyms used in this section are given in the sequence below:

426.

HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND - AIR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) .

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS IN A SAFE CONDITION BEFORE YOU DO THE
MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES. THIS IS TO PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/
OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE DUCTS OR COMPONENTS OF THE AIR BLEED SYSTEM
IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SYSTEM STOPS ITS OPERATION. THE HIGH AIR
TEMPERATURE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(2) Do the procedure to make the aircraft safe for maintenance of the powerplant (AMM
TASK 71-00-00-910-801-A/200 ).

(3) Remove the high-stage bleed-valve filter (AMM TASK 36-11-01-000-802-A/400 ).

(1) To clean the high-stage bleed-valve filter, refer to the latest revision of CMM 36-11-30
(PN 1001246 - HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND - AIR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) .

(3) Remove the high-stage bleed-valve filter (AMM TASK 36-11-01-000-802-A/400 ).
G. High-Stage Bleed-Valve Filter - Cleaning (Figure 702)
SUBTASK 100-003-A
(2) Spray the filter with Electro 140° Contact Cleaner - 00916 - Aerosol.
(3) Blow the filter with low pressure dry compressed air (25 psig maximum) to remove the
remaining contamination.

(4) Visually examine the filter for signs of damage. Replace the filter (AMM MPP
36-11-01/401 ) as necessary.
NOTE: You can use a flashlight and a 10X magnifying lens as aids to do the
inspection.
(5) Visually examine the filter screen for signs of blockage. Clean the filter (AMM TASK
36-11-01-130-801-A/700 ) as necessary.
