    Project: “Secure Mailing Using Elliptical Curve Cryptography”


    Technologies: Java, J2EE, JSP’s, Oracle 10G, Java Script, Apache Tomcat Web server 5.0.
    Description:
    Elliptical curve cryptography (ECC) is a newer approach, with novelty of low key size for the
    user, and hard exponential time challenge for an intruder to break into the system. Prime
    numbers.ECC public key encryption technique based on elliptic curve theory that can be used to
    generate faster, smaller, and more efficient cryptographic key. ECC generates keys through the
    properties of the elliptic curve equation instead of the traditional method (like RSA) of generation
    as the product of very large numbers. Secure mail service delivers the infrastructure for e-mail
    management applications. Here we are trying to implement an application through which it is easy
    to send/receive messages between client/server architecture, encryption-decryption of messages.
    This is done by generating a shared key each of time of sending/receiving a mail. Unauthorized
    access is not possible.

     Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) can provides level of security with 164 bit key that
    other system like RSA requires 1024 bit key to achieve.

     ECC is a new generation mailing system.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

     Worked to Implement and Develop the Project. To generate the keys (Public, Private and
    Shared secret) encrypt and decrypt the messages.
     Involved in developing JSP pages.
     Involved in developing Business logic using Java/J2EE.
     Involved in Client side validation is done using Java Script.
     Involved in writing SQL Scripts using Oracle 10G
     Used Apache Tomcat Web server 5.0 in the Project.
