What is the difference between PGDM Business School and PGDM GLC programs?
As a general management program, PGDM is good to prepare you for a job that requires general
management competency. This program gives you knowledge of all general business management
functions. It is a program aimed at giving a general outlook of management field.
GLC programs are specialized programs under the business management category. In other words,
PGDM RMM, HR and IB programs are structured to give you in depth knowledge of retail
management & marketing, human resources and international business fields. You get to study these
streams in more detail and spend more time and focus on mastering the relevant fields.
They differ only in nomenclature. MBA degree can be awarded only by recognized Universities
whereas all others colleges/institutes having more than a year’s program award PGDM. ITM expects
AIU to grant MBA Degree equivalence to its PGDM program very shortly.

A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be called
for interview and offered final admission. A high Entrance Test score above does not guarantee a call
for interview or Admission Offer.
Once the application has been submitted, the Central Admissions Team is unable to accept

Does the reputation/history or my undergraduate institution or company affect my chances of
being accepted?
Our goal is to admit a class that offers a variety of perspectives. Therefore, we carefully consider
individuals from a wide spectrum of academic and work experiences.
The 2+2 Program accepts either the CAT / XAT / GMAT / MAT or the State CET as part of the
application process.
The ITM PGDM Program encourages students from diverse academic backgrounds of liberal arts,
sciences, engineering, hospitality, fashion, allied health sciences etc.
You are responsible for securing your employment; however, the PGDM Program will provide many
resources to assist you. A dedicated ITM Business School career mentor will help you navigate your
job search, and ITM Business School will introduce you to a wide network of recruiting partners who
have expressed interest in receiving resumes from participants in the PGDM Program. You are
expected to leverage the career services offered.
Are my job opportunities limited to the recruiting partners that ITM has enlisted?
Not at all. Our partner companies and organizations have indicated interest in providing
opportunities for PGDM admitted students; you are welcome and encouraged, however, to go
outside our list of partners. The most important factor is that you are pursuing an industry and
opportunity that you are passionate about.
We admitted 1280 students to the inaugural batch across all our campuses.
What is the desired length of work experience you wish to see in candidates?
ITM Business School does not require a minimum number of years’ work experience prior to entering
the PGDM program, and it is important for you to assess your own readiness when deciding to apply.
Successful candidates have the ability to demonstrate strength in our criteria regardless of the
number of years of their work experience. We believe our PGDM Program can be impactful for
students with as little as 2-3 years of work experience.
Are there specific types of work experience that will make me a more attractive candidate?
Rather than focus on specific categories of work experiences, applicants should focus on their roles,
responsibilities, and what they have learned from the types of work experiences that they have been
involved in. The Central Admissions Team will look at the nature of the applicant’s work experience
when evaluating the applicants’ ability to handle the academic rigor of our PGDM program.
Most B-schools take MBA aspirants with work experience, this is because a large number of them
apply to these B-schools! There is no defined 'quota' for experienced personnel, nor are they given
any 'preference' at any stage of the process. Students with work experience do have a psychological
edge in the interview as their interviews tend to focus predominantly on their work (which they
should know) whereas fresher interview focus more on academics (not everyone's strength!).
Application - Interview
Interview invitations are extended on a rolling basis throughout the course of each application round.
The timing of your interview does not imply anything about the status of your application nor does it
impact your candidacy. Invitations to interview may be extended up until the notification date and
are a positive indicator no matter when you receive them.
B – Interview
A member of the Central Admissions Team or one of our Alumni Interviewers will conduct the
interview. Interviews will take place in-person.
How much time would I need to invest for the final selection round?
Your final selection round will keep you engaged for not more than 3 hours.
When and how can I expect to hear back from ITM Business School?
Notifications about the final selection rounds, dates of joining will be communicated to you via email
and on your current correspondence address.
Will ITM Business School provide feedback for students who have been rejected?
Due to the large number of applications we receive each year against our AICTE approved intake
capacity, we may have to deny admission to many exceptional individuals, we cannot accommodate
requests for personalized feedback on your application therefore. Also, please understand that the
decision of the Central Admissions Team is final.
Candidates should submit applications only for the year they plan to enter the PGDM program.
Postponements and deferrals are rarely granted and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Test Scores
What is the latest date test scores will be accepted?
When submitting your application, you may report the CAT 2010 Registration Number or your official
score if you have received it.
MAT September / December 2010, February 2011 Registration Number or your official score if you
have received it
State CET 2011 Registration Number or your official score if you have received it
These are the only scores that the Admissions Board acknowledges.
The Central Admissions Teams hopes that all applicants will recognize the following: the full range of
test scores is very broad, that there is no "minimum" score requirement, and that the test is just one
piece of data among the many used to evaluate an application.
Can I list only my best test score?
Yes. We review only the score from a single test sitting that you present in your application.
What is the estimated cost for one year at ITM Business School?
Please refer to the detailed fee schedule inside the application kit
What are some options for financing my ITM Business School education?
ITM is committed to making the PGDM Program accessible to all students. Although students are
encouraged to draw on personal resources wherever possible to minimize debt, approximately 75%
of ITM Business School students receive some form of financial assistance, which is composed of a
combination of tuition-fee waivers and bank loans for those who qualify.
