Why is it weird?
Two Slits
The simplest experiment to
demonstrate quantum weirdness
involves shining a light through two
parallel slits and looking at the screen. It
can be shown that a single photon
(particle of light) can interfere with
itself, as if it travelled through both slits
at once.
Light Bulb
Imagine a light bulb filament gives
out a photon, seemingly in a random
direction. Erwin Schrödinger came up
with a nine-letter-long equation that
correctly predicts the chances of finding
that photon at any given point. He
envisioned a kind of wave, like a ripple
from a pebble dropped into a pond,
spreading out from the filament. Once
you look at the photon, this ‘wave
function’ collapses into the single point
at which the photon really is.
Schrödinger’s Cat
In this experiment, we take your cat
and put it in a box with a bottle of
cyanide. (I know, I was about to call
PETA, too, but this is just hypothetical.)
We rig it up so that a detector looks at an
isolated electron and determines
whether it is ‘spin up’ or ‘spin down’ (it
can have either characteristic, seemingly
at random). If it is ‘spin up’, then the
bottle is opened and the cat gets it. Ten
minutes later we open the box and see if
the cat is alive or dead. The question is:
what state is the cat in between the
detector being activated and the box
being opened? Nobody has actually done
this experiment (to my knowledge) but it
does show a paradox that arises in
certain interpretations.
Perhaps an inter-dimensional
model would work to explain this
mystery or a Higg’s field or ocean
reaction where a particle enters in one
spot but instantly has a reaction
elsewhere. Like putting your feet in the
water in California and a small wave
disturbance simultaneously arrives on
the shore in Japan. No one knows yet,
although many think they do.
Copenhagen Interpretation
(CI)
This is the granddaddy of
interpretations, championed by the
formidable Niels Bohr of Copenhagen
University. He browbeat all dissenters
into submission (with the notable
exception of Einstein) at a Brussels
conference sponsored by a man called
Solvay in 1927. Bohr thereby stifled the
debate for a generation or two.
Consistent Histories
The Consistent Histories
interpretation, put forward by Robert
Griffiths in 1984, works backward from
the result of an experiment, arguing that
only a few possible histories are
consistent with the rules of quantum
mechanics. It’s an interesting idea, but
not very popular because it still doesn’t
explain how a particle can go through
two slits and interfere with itself. In The
Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics
[1994], Roland Omnès wrote down
eighty equations in a single chapter and
came to the conclusion that the
‘consistent histories’ interpretation was
pretty much the same as Copenhagen,
with a few bells and whistles and knobs
on.
Alternate Histories
The Alternate Histories
Interpretation is quite different, being
similar to the Many-Worlds
Interpretation, but with the insistence
that only the actual outcome is the real
world and the ones we’re not in don’t
actually exist. Unfortunately this gets us
right back to their being some kind of
‘collapse’.
Transactional Interpretation
John Cramer’s Transactional
Interpretation relies on the fundamental
time-symmetry of the universe. He
argues that particles perform a kind of
‘handshake’ in the course of interacting.
One sends out a wave forward in time,
and another sends one out backward in
time.
Hemoglobin (abbreviated Hb or
Hgb) is the iron-containing oxygen-
transport metalloprotein in the red blood
cells of all vertebrates (with the
exception of the fish family
Channichthyidae.) It is also found in the
tissues of some invertebrates as well.
Hemoglobin in the blood carries oxygen
from the respiratory organs (lungs or
gills) to the rest of the body (i.e. the
tissues and on down to the cellular
factories) where it releases the oxygen
to burn nutrients to provide energy to
power the functions of the organism
AND collects the resultant carbon
dioxide to bring it back to the
respiratory organs to be expelled from
the organism. It’s a great multi-tasker. It
brings in the fuel and removes the
exhaust, so to speak.
Interestingly, an Aztec/Mayan
winged serpent-god named Quetzalcoatl,
who was part man, part god, is supposed
to return “soon” after the end of the
Mayan calendar that ended on Dec 21 of
2012. Wouldn’t that be interesting! The
worship of the feathered serpent deity is
first documented in Teotihuacan in the
first century AD.
Southwest Tanzania
Once upon a time the rivers began
to flood. The god told two people to get
into a ship. He told them to take lots of
seed and animals. The water of the flood
eventually covered the mountains.
Finally the flood stopped. Then one of
the men, wanting to know if the water
had dried up, let a dove loose. The dove
returned. Later he let loose a hawk,
which did not return. Then the men left
the boat and took the animals and the
seeds with them.
China
The Chinese classic called the
Hihking tells about “the family of Fuhi.”
This ancient story tells that the entire
land was flooded—the mountains and
everything. However, one family—Fuhi,
his wife, three sons, and three daughters
—escaped the great flood in a boat. It is
claimed that he and his family were the
only people alive on earth and
repopulated the world. The Chinese
consider this man the father of their
civilization.
Babylon
Gilgamesh met an old man named
Utnapishtim, who told him the following
story. The gods came to Utnapishtim to
warn him about a terrible flood that was
coming. They instructed Utnapishtim to
destroy his house and build a large ship.
The ship was to be ten dozen cubits high,
wide, and long. Utnapishtim was to
cover the ship with pitch. He was
supposed to take male and female
animals of all kinds, his wife and family,
provisions, etc. into the ship. Once the
ship was completed the rain began
falling intensely. The rain fell for six
days and nights. Finally things calmed
and the ship settled on the top of Mount
Nisir. After the ship had rested for seven
days, Utnapishtim let loose a dove.
Since the land had not dried the dove
returned. Next he sent a swallow, which
also returned. Later he let loose a raven,
which never returned since the ground
had dried. Utnapishtim then left the ship.
Chaldean
There was a man by the name of
Xisuthrus. The god Chronos warned
Xisuthrus of a coming flood and told him
to build a boat. The boat was to be five
stadia by two stadia. In this boat
Xisuthrus was to put his family, friends,
and two of each animal (male and
female). The flood came. When the
waters started to recede, he let some
birds loose. They came back and he
noticed they had mud on their feet. He
tried again with the same results. When
he tried the third time, the birds did not
return. Assuming the water had dried up,
the people got out of the boat and offered
sacrifices to the gods.
India
A long time ago lived a man named
Manu. While washing himself, Manu
saved a small fish from the jaws of a
large fish. The fish told Manu, “If you
care for me until I am full grown I will
save you from terrible things to come.”
Manu asked what kind of terrible things.
The fish told Manu that a great flood
would soon come and destroy everything
on the earth. The fish told Manu to put
him in a clay jar for protection. The fish
grew and each time he outgrew the clay
jar Manu gave him a larger one. Finally
the fish became a ghasha, one of the
largest fish in the world. The fish
instructed Manu to build a large ship
since the flood was going to happen very
soon. As the rains started Manu tied a
rope from the ship to the ghasha. The
fish guided the ship as the waters rose.
The whole earth was covered by water.
When the waters began subsiding the
ghasha led Manu’s ship to a
mountaintop.
Greece
A long time ago, perhaps before the
golden age was over, humans became
proud. This bothered Zeus as they kept
getting worse. Finally Zeus decided that
he would destroy all humans. Before he
did this Prometheus, the creator of
humans, warned his human son,
Deucalion, and his wife, Pyrrha.
Prometheus then placed this couple in a
large wooden chest. The rains started
and lasted nine days and nights until the
whole world was flooded except for the
peaks of Mount Parnassus and Mount
Olympus. Mount Olympus is the home of
the gods. The wooden chest came to rest
on Mount Parnassus. Deucalion and
Pyrrha got out and saw that everything
was flooded. They lived on provisions
from the chest until the waters subsided.
At Zeus’ instruction they re-populated
the earth.
Mexico
The Toltec natives have a legend
that the original creation lasted for 1716
years and was destroyed by a flood, and
only one family survived.
North America
The Ojibwe natives have lived in
an area currently called Minnesota
(where I once lived) since
approximately 1400 AD and have a
flood story that closely parallels the
Biblical account. There came a time
when the harmonious way of life did not
continue. Men and women disrespected
each other, families quarreled, and soon
villages began arguing back and forth.
This saddened Gitchie Manido (the
Creator) greatly, but he waited. Finally,
when it seemed there was no hope left,
Creator decided to purify Mother Earth
through the use of water. The water
came, flooding the Earth, catching all of
creation off guard. All but a few of each
living thing died. Only Waynaboozhoo
survived by floating on a log in the
water with various animals.
Inca
During the period of time called the
Pachachama people became very evil.
They got so busy coming up with and
performing evil deeds they neglected the
gods. Only those in the high Andes
remained uncorrupted. Two brothers
who lived in the highlands noticed their
llamas acting strangely. They asked the
llamas why and were told that the stars
had told the llamas that a great flood
was coming. This flood would destroy
all the life on earth. The brothers took
their families and flocks into a cave on
the high mountains. It started to rain and
continued for four months. As the water
rose, the mountain grew, keeping its top
above the water. Eventually the rain
stopped and the waters receded. The
mountain returned to its original height.
The shepherds repopulated the earth.
The llamas remembered the flood and
that is why they prefer to live in the
highland areas.

It would appear then that using the
code to access the hidden information
contained in the Torah and the rest of the
Old Testament for predicting the future
could be dangerous at best. But is there
even a code? The short answer is… yes!
Why is it there? Perhaps for the same
reason the God code is in our DNA!
Perhaps it is just another means of
authenticating His creation and
demonstrating that there is an all-
knowing designer behind it all, a way of
letting us know that He lives outside
time and space and therefore knows the
ends from the beginnings!

DISAPPEARANCE EXCLUSION:
Due to quantum tunneling, there is an
extremely tiny chance that this product
may suddenly disappear at any time (and
reappear elsewhere). The Manufacturer
will not be responsible for such
mysterious disappearances.
Pyrolysis-mass-spectrometry
results from the sample area coupled
with microscopic and micro chemical
observations prove that the radiocarbon
sample was not part of the original cloth
of the Shroud of Turin. The radiocarbon
date was thus not valid for determining
the true age of the Shroud.
Fascinating, is it not?

To sum it up:
A hypernova or hypernovae
(plural) nearly started WWIII. Did I get
your attention? No, this is not part of
your imaginary trip; this really
happened! In 1963 the US and the USSR
agreed to ban certain nuclear weapons
tests and had placed satellites in orbit to
monitor each other’s compliance with
the agreement. In 1979 one of the US
satellites detected a series of large
nuclear explosions in a remote location
over the Indian Ocean. It turned out to be
a series of supernovae explosions of the
hypernova magnitude. Before that was
finally understood, both sides of the cold
war grew very hot as the US
immediately suspected that the Russians
were secretly testing nuclear space
weapons and everyone went on high
alert. The scientists went to work and
saved the day and the world from
nuclear war by discovering the
phenomena of exploding hypernovaes. It
wasn’t a “religious” or spiritual leader
who saved the day that time… or was it?

Dark:
With little or no light: it’s too
dark to see much.
Hidden from knowledge;
mysterious.
Matter:
A physical substance in general,
as distinct from mind and spirit;
(in physics) that which occupies
space and possesses rest mass,
esp. as distinct from energy.
According to Raklev,
supersymmetry simplifies everything. If
the TOE theory exists, in other words, if
it is possible to unify the four forces of
nature, then gravitinos must exist.”
As a collective species, we
contemplate the existence of extra-
terrestrial civilizations living in the far
reaches of the universe, and we imagine
that they have mind-boggling technology
that we can’t even begin to drum up
using our imagination. So far, though,
there have been no clear indicators
(well, depending on who you ask) that
there is anything beyond homo sapiens,
which is equal parts depressing and
terrifying. After all, if aliens were real,
surely there would be some signs, right?
Well, there are many theories put forth in
the Fermi paradox that postulate why
there may be no signs… everything
ranging from our technology being so
basic that we are unable to pick up
whatever signals they have sent out into
the abyss, to ETs knowing we are here
but choosing not to reach out to us to not
hinder our progress. However, a new
theory has been put forth that, frankly,
makes all of the alternatives seem kind
of lame.
Just recently, astronomers
announced a colossal find (quite
literally, colossal): a series of ‘ultra-
massive’ black holes at the center of
many distant galaxies. Each of these
black holes is more than ten times the
size of our solar system, with event
horizons stretching out more than five
times beyond the orbit of Pluto. Such
black holes are far larger than anything
ever predicted before. One of the
largest, which lies at the center of an
egg-shaped galaxy more than 335
million light-years distant (called NGC
4889), has the mass of more than 21
billion suns. Another of these behemoths
is at the galactic center of NGC 3842,
which is 331 million light-years away.
This one contains the mass of 9.7 billion
suns. In comparison, the supermassive
black hole at the heart of the Milky Way,
Sagittarius A, contains the mass of about
4.1 million solar masses, with a surface
area of no more than 17 light-hours (120
AU).
“Really!”
“Yes, sir. Laminins are trimeric
proteins that contain an α-chain, a β-
chain, and a γ-chain, found in five, four,
and three genetic variants, respectively.
The laminin molecules are named
according to their chain composition.
Thus, laminin-511 contains α5, β1, and
γ1 chains. Fourteen other chain
combinations have been identified in
vivo. The trimeric proteins intersect to
form a cross-like structure that can bind
to other cell membrane and extracellular
matrix molecules. The three shorter arms
are particularly good at binding to other
laminin molecules, which allows them to
form sheets. The long arm is capable of
binding to cells, which helps anchor
organized tissue cells to the membrane.
“Yes, sir.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Yes, sir.”
