I Went On A Trip Last School Holiday
I
went to Jakarta and Yogyakarta for six days and five night. Both of them are a beautiful city
which merge the historical and modern monument in a harmonious way, just like Penang.
I stayed at Jakarta for about two days. Jakarta is full of luxurious and large shopping
mall that will blazed your eyes with varies kind of famous brand in the clothing industry ,
such as Prada, Gucci ,Nike and much more. I spent two whole days in Jakarta shopping from
one shopping mall to another. I bought a lot of new shirts that I am going to wear during
Chinese New Year , when I finally felt that my dompet was slimming did I felt satisfied with
my shopping journey.
Besides, when I was in Jakarta , I Tried my best to try out all the food there because
all of it look mouthwatering. I favoured the grilled chicken dish the most. It was served with
white rice and spices. I feel hungry just thinking it now.
When I was at Yogyakarta, I went on a jeep tour to visit the most active volcanos in
Indonesia ,which is Mount Merapi. I was so scared during the trip because it was estimated
to explode in these few years , I can felt colour draining off my face when the driver want to
take us to the distance of 4km near the volcanos, I kept asking whether we will be able to
get away in time if the volcanos expode and was being laughed at our driver. Luckily noting
happens t me or I will not be sitting here now.
The trip up to the volcanos is very bumpy, when we came across obstacle like big
rocks or muddy water, our driver purposely drove the jeep towards the bumpy route so that
we can feel the excitement by bumping our hips on the chair and shrieking when water
splashed up. I can say that it was the most adventurous activity throughout my whole trip in
Indonesia.
Talking about the temple, I visit the Borobudur temple when I was in Yogyakarta too.
It was said to be the largest buddisht temple in the world. I could only described the temple
as a piece of art from the god because if amazed me so much that I have no better words to
described it and it was crafted with many Buddisht sculpture.
Actually ,there are a lot of similarities between Malaysia and Indonesia, from food to
beliefs and even type of living to. The most memorable thing that I experienced there was
being surrounded by local hawkers which swarmed in when you reached a destination to
introduce their handcrafts towards you. I just felt like being treated like a millionaire when I
bought the handicrafts. It was quite funny too, thinking back the situation.
