HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

 Flammable. Heating may generate vapors which may form explosive vapor/ air mixtures. (H226)

FIRST AID MEASURES (SYMPTOMS)

Skin Contact: Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause defatting of the skin leading to dermatitis.

Eye Contact: Irritation and redness in the eyes. If proper medical attention is not gained, may cause
permanent damage to eyes.

Ingestion: Nausea and stomach pain may occur. There may be vomiting and if proper medical attention
is not gained, permanent damage to stomach may occur.

Inhalation: Prolonged Inhalation of high levels of vapor may cause upper respiratory tract irritation.
Drowsiness or mental confusion may also occur. In severe cases, loss of consciousness may also occur.

FIRST AID MEASURES (ACTION)

Skin Contact: Wash the skin thoroughly with water, soap and some rough rubbing media (Wood dust
may be helpful) and remove contaminated clothing. Obtain medical attention if symptoms develop to
severity.

Eye Contact: Flush the eyes thoroughly with clean water for minimum 20 minutes whilst holding the eye
lids open and seek medical advice immediately.

Ingestion: Donot induce vomiting. Immediately rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water or milk. Get
prompt medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove the casualty from exposure to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, induce artificial
breathing. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention.

FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Extinguishing Media: Water Spray, Carbon Dioxide, Polymer Foam, Dry Chemical powder

Exposure Hazards: Vapor may travel considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back. In
combustion, the material may emit toxic fumes, Carbon Dioxide/Carbon Monoxide

Protection for Fire Fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to
prevent contact with skin and eyes.

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal Precautions: Eliminate all sources of ignition. Mark out the contaminated area with signs and
prevent the access of unauthorized personnel.

Environmental Precautions: Donot discharge into drains or rivers. Contain the spillage using sufficient
appropriate absorbent material. Wood saw dust/sand is better to be used to collect the spilled material.

Clean-Up Procedure: Transfer to a closable, labeled salvage container for disposal by an appropriate
method.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling Requirements: Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Avoid direct contact with
the substance. Use Non-Sparking tools.

Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Prevent the build-up of Electrostatic
Charge in the area.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION

Workplace Exposure Limit: 100 ppm (08-Hours Exposure)

Engineering Measures: Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area.

Respiratory Protection: If workplace exposure limit, mentioned above exceeds, respiratory protection
may be required.

Hand Protection: Protective Gloves

Eye Protection: Safety goggles while handling or applying the product.

Skin Protection: Protective over-all.

TOXOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Routes of Exposure: Exposure to high levels of vapor may cause drowsiness, dizziness, nausea,
headaches, vomiting. Prolonged contact with skin may cause irritation leading to dermatitis in extreme
cases. Causes eye irritation and in severe cases, permanent damage to eyes.
