The Spoken Tutorial (IIT Bombay)

1. The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free
and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++,
LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool - Spoken Tutorials.
2. It is a project by IIT-B under MHRD.
3. TSEC has enrolled for this program by paying Rs.25000/year for an unlimited number
of TSEC students as well as faculties to be trained on any number of courses with
Certificates.
4. It provides a strong platform to strengthen your skills and learn new things.
5. Courses of vivid branches are available under this platform.
6. Qualifying a course will give you added credentials to your credit which you can add
to your LinkedIn profile, resume, etc.
7. Qualifying a course also increase your chances of placement as you will be getting a
‘Qualifying Certificate’ from IIT Bombay.

11. After completion of the course videos, one has to appear for the exam (minimum one
month after the date of enrolment) which will be conducted in TSEC campus FREE
OF COST.
12. The duration of the exam will be around 45 min to 1hr 30 min depending on the
course.
13. If one qualifies the exam, he/she will be getting a certificate from IIT Bombay Spoken
Tutorial.
