Operation way
1. Loading operation
a) When the loader cooperates with truck, especially when the
transportation distance is relatively far, operation efficiency
will be enhanced.
b) When operating through cooperation, the loader will shovel
material and the truck will be responsible for long-distance
transportation and unloading.
c) Loading ways generally include two ways:
 Crossing loading
The loader will face to material pile and be filled with
materials. The loader will back up, and then the dump
truck will be between the loader and the material pile.
This loading method requires the shortest time, therefore,
it can effectively reduce circulating time to the largest
extent.
 V-type loading
The position of the dump truck will be set so that the
angle between it and the reverse direction of the loader is
about 60°. After the bucket is filled with materials, the
loader will return and drive towards the dump truck after
rotating by certain angle. The smaller the V-type angle
when the loader is operating, the higher the working
efficiency.
2. Shoveling operation
a) Shovel soil block or aggregated rock
When shoveling soil block or aggregated rock, the vehicle will be
pointed to the material pile and operation will be conducted in
accordance with the following requirements:
 When lifting the bucket down when the vehicle is driving
forward, the vehicle shall be parked when the bucket is
30cm above the ground and then the bucket will be lifted
down slowly.
 If the bucket collides with the ground, the front wheel will
leave the ground and slide.
 The speed shall be immediately reduced in front of the
material pile. When completing variable speed,
accelerator pedal shall be stamped and the bucket shall be
inserted into the material pile.

91
Operation & Maintenance Manual for L933 Wheel Loader
 If it is crushed aggregate, the bucket will be kept
horizontal. If it is stone, the bucket shall have an angle.

Attention:
Stone cannot be under the bucket, which will make
the front wheel leave the ground and generate
slipping. The load shall be in the center of the
bucket. If the gravity center is on one side of the
bucket, balance will lose.
 When the bucket is being inserted into the material pile,
the boom shall be lifted so that the bucket will not be
inserted too deeply. Tyre will generate enough traction
force by enhancing the boom.

 When the bucket has enough materials, the control handle

of the bucket will be controlled to collect the bucket so
that it is filled with materials.

Attention:
When the bucket is inserted into the material pile
or it is excavating, the front wheel will leave the
ground and generate slipping.
 If the load in the bucket is too large, the bucket shall be
rapidly reversed and collected and excessive load will be
removed to prevent material from scattering when
transporting.

92
Operation & Maintenance Manual for L933 Wheel Loader

b) Spading material on flat ground

Attention

When conducting shoveling operation, the two sides of

the bucket shall be uniformly fed and try to avoid
conduct lateral feeding operation. The loader will be
directly pointed to the front and front and rear frames
cannot have angle.

In the process of spading material on the flat ground, the edge of the
shovel will be slightly pointed to the ground as shown in the figure.
However, load cannot be centralized on one side to cause imbalance.
Gear I will be used to carefully operate.
 The edge of the shovel will be slightly pointed to the
bottom.
 When the vehicle drives forward, the control handle of the
boom will be controlled so that the boom will be
descended to suitable position and thin soil can be
removed in the execution process.
 When the vehicle drives forward, the control handle of the
boom will be slightly moved forward and backward to
reduce resistance when the vehicle drives forward.
3. Handling operation
Independent handling can be adopted under the following
situations:
a) Truck cannot be used under too soft pavement and unleveled
road.
b) If the distance is within 500 meters, it is not economical to use
truck.
c) Handling speed is determined as per handling distance and
pavement condition.
d) To guarantee safety, stability and good sight line when
handling, the bucket shall be lifted to extreme position (the
bucket contacts the limited block of the boom) and the lower
hinge joint of the boom is at the transportation position (about
400mm to 500mm above the ground).
4. Unloading operation
a) After the truck or the goods yard dumps materials, the boom
shall be lifted to the bucket position (when inclining to the
largest position) until it cannot contact the truck bed and

Principle diagram of hydraulic system of working device
As shown in the figure, hydraulic system of working device adopts
mechanical control, which is composed of working pump,
multi-way valve, boom cylinder, oil cylinder of rotating bucket,
hydraulic oil radiator, hydraulic oil tank and pipeline accessories.
DFS-25-16 multi-way valve is duplex valve. Rotating bucket is
divided into unloading (incline forward), neutral position and
collecting bucket (incline backward); boom is divided into floating,
descending, neutral position and lifting to achieve operation control
of working device of the loader. Set pressure of safety valve of
hydraulic system is between 16 and 16.5 MPa, overload pressure of
large cavity of rotating bucket is between 18 and 18.5 MPa, and
overload pressure of small cavity is between 12 and 12.5 MPa.
L933 adopts full hydraulic articulated steering system.
Steering hydraulic system is load-sensing hydraulic system. When
steering, this system will supply oil to the steering hydraulic system
at first, residual oil will flow to working system. Safety valve is set
on the pressure-gradient control valve. Set pressure of the system is
14MPa, which is shown in the figure.

Braking system
Braking system is used to reduce speed or park when driving and
park for a long time on flat ground or slope. As shown in the
principle diagram, the braking system includes service braking
system and parking brake system.

1. Air booster pump, 2. Air brake valve, 3. Air storage tank,

4. Oil-water separator, 5. Air compressor
Principle diagram of braking system

Service braking system

As shown in the figure, this system is air over hydraulic disc type
braking system with single pipeline and four wheels.
When the brake pedal is stamped in the driving process, compressed
air in the air storage tank 3 will enter into air chamber of air booster
pump via brake valve 2 to boost piston of the booster pump 1 and
convert to oil way (oil pressure is about 14MPa). The brake fluid
will push piston of disc type brake so that the friction plate will be
pressed on the brake wheel of the brake disc to reach the purpose of
speed reduction or parking.
When the brake pedal is loosened, compressed air of the booster
pump is discharged from the brake valve into air, and brake state is
cancelled.

Parking brake system

As shown in the figure, this system adopts manual disc type braking
system. When braking, the control handle of the parking brake will
be pulled up to reach the purpose of braking by lifting the brake
with flexible shaft. Meanwhile, electric signal will be provided to
control parking brake and the indicator light will be lit to remind
operators that the vehicle is under parking brake state.

Electrical system
Electrical system includes: storage battery, starting motor, charging
generator, automatic flat control system of bucket, instrument,
switch, lamp and other power equipment.
Voltage of the system is DC 24V, minus earth, line adopts single
wire system. You shall carefully read principle diagram of circuit of
electrical system for mutual relationship and working principle of
all power equipment.
