PEANUT CALENDAR OF EVENTS
AUGUST 6-7, 2019– The 2019 Pre-Harvest Meeting hosted by the American Peanut Shellers Association and the National Peanut
Buying Points Association is August 6-7 in Albany, GA. The “Fiesta” PAC Auction and Dinner will be held at Merry Acres Event
Center on Tuesday, August 6. The Reception and Silent Auction will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by the Live Auction and Dinner at 7
PM. The cost will be $50 per person and includes dinner and open bar. The general business session is Wednesday, August 7 at The
Bindery at Oakland Library. All registrations should be submitted to the APSA office and can be found at www.peanut-
shellers.org or www.peanutbuyingpoints.org. Donations of $100 places your name in the drawing for a NEW 2018 Cub Cadet

AUGUST 15, 2019– NORTHFLORIDA PEANUT FIELD DAY – North Florida Research and Education Center, Marianna, FL.

AUGUST 22, 2019–EXTENSION FARM FIELD DAY–West Florida Research Center, Jay, FL. Registration-8AM. Tours start -

from 3-5 PM in Cordele, GA. Rooms are available at Lake Blackshear Resort for $109.00; ask for the Georgia Peanut Tour room
block. Tour stops at several peanut producing counties surrounding Cordele with on-farm harvest demos and clinics, research at the

SEPTEMBER 28, 2019 – 23rdANNUAL PLAINS PEANUT FESTIVAL, Plains, GA – Festival is hosted by former U.S. President
Jimmy Carter and Rosalyn. One-mile fun run and 5-K race kicks off festival at 8 AM. President Carter and Tyron Spearman emcee
parade at 11AM.Visit Peanut Pavilion to see national sponsors including hot, grilled PB&J's. President teaches Sunday School on
