ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

PURPOSE
The objective of the assignment is to evaluate learner’s knowledge and understanding in
applying the skills and social responsibilities within the community; apply communication
skills, leadership and work as a team; and practice skills in information management, projects
and entrepreneurship.

REQUIREMENT
Community service is an important activity to promote goodwill between the community
and environment. Proper planning for community service would impact on community at
local, district, state or national levels.

As an undergraduate at the university, you are to lead a community service programme


which can benefit the community in your surroundings. This programme should be
implemented with a sense of full responsibility and commitment so that the community
service goals are reached.

The goals of community services are as follows:


 Fostering a sense of love and equality;
 Fostering and application of knowledge, skills and civic practices;
 Contributing through volunteering;
 Becoming patriotic citizens; and
 Practicing a healthy lifestyle

For this assignment, you need to choose a community service from the list below:
 Community service at school / kindergarten
 Community service at the recreational area
 Community service at the village community hall
 Community service at the orphanage
 Community service at home old folks
 Community service at the home of People with Disabilities (OKU)
 Community service with your colleagues at your workplace
 Community service during the marriage feast

1. The assignment must be completed by doing the planned activities provided as follows:
a) Activity 1 - Planning and implementation of community service. Limited to 5 pages

b) Activity 2 - Video recording (The duration of the recording is between 5-15

d) Activity 4 – Answering essay question
Discuss THREE ways an individual can show respect for the multiracial community

e) Presenting an overall report.

SOALAN TUGASAN

TUJUAN
Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk menilai pengetahuan pelajar untuk mengaplikasi
kemahiran dan tanggungjawab sosial dalam masyarakat; mengaplikasi kemahiran
komunikasi, kepimpinan dan bekerja secara berpasukan; dan mempraktikkan kemahiran
pengurusan maklumat, projek dan keusahawanan.

KEPERLUAN
Khidmat masyarakat merupakan suatu aktiviti yang penting untuk memupuk perasaan
muhibah antara komuniti dan persekitarannya. Perancangan khidmat masyarakat yang
sesuai dapat memberikan impak kepada masyarakat sama ada di peringkat daerah
ataupun di peringkat nasional.

Sebagai seorang mahasiswa mahupun mahasiswi, anda dikehendaki menjadi teraju


utama untuk menjalankan satu program khidmat masyarakat di kawasan persekitaran
anda. Program ini perlulah dikendalikan dengan rasa penuh tanggungjawab dan
bersungguh-sungguh agar matlamat khidmat masyarakat tercapai.

Antara matlamat khidmat masyarakat adalah seperti berikut:


 Memupuk rasa kecintaan dan kebersamaan;
 Memupuk dan mengaplikasi pengetahuan, kemahiran dan amalan sivik;
 Menyumbang melalui kesukarelawanan;
 Menjadi warganegara yang patriotik; dan
 Mengamalkan gaya hidup yang sihat

Untuk tugasan ini, anda perlu memilih SATU khidmat masyarakat dalam senarai berikut:

 Pelbagai lagi projek khidmat masyarakat di peringkat kampung, bandar, dan

PANDUAN TINDAKAN:
1. Tugasan ini dapat dilengkapkan dengan melakukan aktiviti terancang yang diberikan
seperti berikut:
a) Aktiviti 1 – Perancangan dan pelaksanaan khidmat masyarakat. Terhad kepada 5

muka surat sahaja.
