Whales are sea-livings mammals. They therefore breathe air but cannot survive on land.
Some species are very large indeed and the blue whale, which can exceed 30 meters in
length, is the largest animal to have lived on earth. Superficially, the whale looks rather
like a fish, but there are important differences in its external structure; its tail consists of a
pair of broad, flat horizontal paddles (the tail of a fish is vertical) and it has a single
nostril on top of its large, broad head. The skin is smooth and shiny and beneath it lies a
layer of fat (blubber). This is can be up to 30 centimeters in thickness and serves heat and
body fluids.
REPORT 2
Uhmm....... do you know Arachnids? I mean, it is a spider. Spiders are not insects.
I mean spiders are Arachnids. Arachnids have four bite pairs of legs but they only have
two body parts but insects have three pairs of legs and three body parts. The most
surprising thing is that spiders have two to four pair of eyes. They can see extremely well.
Uhm .... spiders eat small insects such as flies and mosquitoes and you know
what ?They sometimes bite people. When a spider bites an insect, it doesn’t kill the insect
immediately but a special poison passes through its fangs, and this poison paralyzes the
body of the unlucky insect.
Most spiders make their own homes. They do this with a special substance produced
by their bodies. In the corner of some rooms it is possible to find a spider’s web where
the spider is waiting for its next dinner guest.

Giraffes are tall interesting animals. Male giraffes are usually about six
Meters tall. Half of the giraffes’ height come from its neck, which is longer than its
Leg.
A giraffes has big brown eyes which are protected by very thick lashes.
Since it lives in part s of Africa which are usually dry with a great deal of dust. The
lashes are important source of protection. It can also cover its nostrils in order to
protect its nose. It has brown spot on tan skin and this coloring helps to protect the
giraffes.
Giraffes usually live in small hard and often feed with other animals. A
minute baby giraffe is two meters tall at birth. It can stand up itself within a few
minutes and can run well in about two days.
Like the camel, the giraffe can go a long time without drinking water. One
source of the water is the leaves which the giraffe eats from the trees. Since it is tall,
the giraffe can reach the tender leaves at the top of a tree.
Giraffes have two methods of self protection, if something frightens an adult
giraffe, it can gallop away at about fifty kilometers per hours or stay to fight with its
strong legs.
The United States of America is where the Venus’s fly trap is a unique
plant. It belongs to a group of plant called “carnivorous feed on insect”. The
Venus’ fly trap has a special mechanism by which it traps its prey. This is how it
works.
At the end of each leaf – which grows from the base of a long, flowering
stalk- there is a trap. The trap its made up of two lobs and is covered with short,
reddish hairs which are sensitive. There are teeth like structures around the edge of
the lobes.
The tramp contains nectar which attracts insects. When an insect come is
in contact with the nectar, the snaps shut. There are certain digestive juices inside.
the trap which digest the insects. It takes about ten days for a trapped insect to be
digested. We can tell when this digestion is compete, for then the walls
automatically open to wait another victim.
There are about two hundred species of carnivorous plants. Another kind
of these well-known specie is the pitcher plant What differentiates this plant from
Venus’s fly trap is the shape ; the mechanism to catch insects is the some in both
plants.
The pitcher plants are climbing plants which cling to other plants by
means of tendrils. At one end the tendril, there is a pitcher-shaped vessel with an
open lid. The mouth and the lid of the pitcher contain glands which produce nectar
to attract insect. When an insect settles on the nectar, the lid of the pitcher shuts,
trapping its victim. The digestive juices inside the pitcher then begin to work.
