    INTER-FACULTY SEMINAR ON TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES

    AT UEF

    This morning (17/7), UEF’s Faculty of English collaborated with Faculty of Linguistics and
    International Cultures to organize a seminar titled “Language training in UEF: quality, efficiency
    and integration”. According to the Organizing Committee, the ten participating articles closely
    follow the practical needs in the process of teaching and learning at the University. The discussed
    topics include methods of teaching foreign languages in the context of globalization; the learning,
    practice and training activities associated with UEF’s goal of internationalization; the use of
    information technology and psychological factors and so on.

    After that, the experts also contributed ideas, shared and discussed the applicability from their
    experiences in teaching specialized subjects in English. From this seminar, lecturers will have
    more resources to design and improve the curriculum in the future. Therefore, UEF students will
    be proficient in English, master professional knowledge, understand the world cultures and know
    how to self-study and research effectively.

    “THE OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES OF GLOBALIZATION IN


    EDUCATION” PRESENTED BY UEF AT THE 7TH OPENTESOL
    INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2019

    Recently, UEF International Institute’s lecturer of English and Linguistics Nicholas Bishop
    delivered a presentation at the TESOL Conference on English teaching and research. With the
    theme "The Opportunities and Challenges of Globalization in Education", UEF has made a positive
    impact on the international and local English teaching communities.

    With the goal of creating a global, world-class learning environment for students, UEF always
    concerns and focuses on language training. The fact that UEF’s officials and lecturers regularly
    attend seminars and conferences on researching and teaching English has contributed significantly
    to the improvement of the training quality at UEF.

    OPENING CEREMONY OF THE DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAM AT UEF

    In the morning of July 11, UEF successfully organized the Opening Ceremony of the Doctoral
    Degree Program, first intake of 2019, majoring in Business Administration with three new doctoral
    students. The event not only marked an important milestone in the research and teaching of the
    university as the Ministry of Education and Training first allowed UEF to enroll and offer the
    program, but was also a turning point in the journey to acquire new knowledge of the PhD students.

    At the ceremony, a representative from UEF’s Board of Administration congratulated the new
    students and pledged to provide the best support for the students to complete their researches. The
    students also expressed their delight and honor to study at UEF.

    Again, congratulations to UEF’s first doctoral students of 2019 and wish you all success in your
    studies.
