IPM Domestic Applicants
Candidates satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in
Management of IIM Indore.
• Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 1999 (5 years of relaxation to
the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1994).
• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination
in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2019.
• Minimum Percentage (%) of marks: Candidate should have Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC
and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD
category).
Note 1: Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of June 30, 2019
can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned above. If selected, such candidates
will be offered admission to the programme provisionally. At the time of registration for the programme,
such candidate must have to produce standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations
mark sheet (securing minimum marks, as indicated above) along with school leaving certificate/migration
certificate, failing which the candidate’s provisional admission offer will stand cancelled.
Note 2: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based
on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s
regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grades points instead of marks, the
conversion of grades to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/
Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.
Note 3: Applicants pursuing their X and/or XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign
board’s like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International
Baccalaureate) can also apply.
Note 4: IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility conditions in terms of equivalence, percentage
marks, and the recognition of the qualifying examination, intake etc.
2. Application Procedure
Eligible candidates should submit their application online (visit www.iimidr.ac.in) during the period
Wednesday, March 13, 2019 to Sunday, April 14, 2019 and pay the online non-refundable/non-transferable
application fee of Rs. 3,540/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred Forty only, inclusive of GST) /
Rs.1,770/- (Rupees One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy only, inclusive of GST for SC/ST/PwD category
candidates).
3. Selection Procedure
The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test (AT), Written Ability
Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear either in AT and WAT & PI or both
shall not be considered for selection. The selection process is as follows:
Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online as
described previously in sl. no. 2 i.e. Application procedure.
Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called
for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 28 cities in the country i.e. Ahmedabad, Bengaluru,
Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior,
Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune,
Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. However, IIM Indore reserves the right
to change the cities/ centres or cancel the centre at any time if the situation so warrants. The date of
conducting AT is Friday, May 10, 2019. The pattern of AT will be as follows:
i. There will be three sections in the Aptitude Test namely Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice
Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple
Choice Question-MCQ).
iii. There will be a negative marking of 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except
Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking).
v. Candidate must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain same
for all the candidates. The above table does not indicate the final order of sections.
Stage 3: In this stage, the eligible pool for Stage-4 {i.e. shortlisting for Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal
Interview (PI)} is created considering only the candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in
each of the three sections of Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be decided by
the Admissions Committee. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be based on the categories of
applicants. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are rejected at this stage.
Note: Maximum and Minimum scores are the highest and lowest scores obtained in respective sections by the
candidates from the eligible pool
Shortlisted candidates shall appear for WAT & PI at any one of the eight centres i.e. Bangalore, Chennai,
Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Mumbai. IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum
performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions
Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be
considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-5.
Stage 5: Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered
for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as
mentioned in Table 2 and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the Government
of India reservation norms.
No intimation will be sent to candidates who are not selected for final offer.
As per Government of India requirement, 27% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes
candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), 15% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled
Tribe (ST) candidates, 4% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) and 5% for Persons with Benchmark
Disabilities (PwD).
As defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016), “person with benchmark
disability” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified
disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified
disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority. “specified
disability” means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the RPwD Act 2016.
For the purpose of being considered for reservations, the applicable Central Government list as on the last
date of IPM AT registration shall be binding and the candidates are required to submit the valid documents
signed by the competent authority to ascertain the eligibility status to apply under the reserved category
(NC-OBC/SC/ST/EWSs/ PwD). No subsequent changes will be effective for IPM AT 2019 and any subsequent
selection process of IIM Indore.
The candidates belonging to categories for which seats are reserved need to note and read carefully the
eligibility requirements before applying. It should be noted that while it is the endeavor of IIM Indore that
the candidates belonging to NC-OBC/SC/ST/EWSs/ PwD categories join the programme in proportions
mandated by the law, they have to meet the eligibility criteria and a certain minimum level of performance
to be considered for the admission process.
Note:
"The Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017 came into force from January 31, 2018, and
accordingly students who will be enrolled in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore's Five-
Year Integrated Programme in management (IPM) for 2019-24 Batch will be eligible for award of
Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees
under Dual Degree Programme upon successful completion of IPM.
IPM students who successfully completed the IPM programme in 2018 were conferred the above
Degrees at the 19th Convocation of the Institute held on March 28, 2018.
Candidates attempting to apply with minor changes of information and/or facts to more than one
and/or multiple applications will be summarily rejected and such candidates will be debarred from
further selection process.
