Vision
1. Introduction

We are building web based online Hostel service, in which student will be able to book a hostel room nearest to
his/her university. Students can choose a room according to their needs. The best feature of this application is the use
of google map that benefits the students who will come from far areas. They can easily find the hostel through
google map.
Owner of hostel can register their hostel for rent on this platform. He/she provide all possible details/features of the
hostel and make a request to admin.
Admin manages the requests of the hostel owners and fix the standard price according the hostel features and
location. Admin also manages the complaints of the students against the hostel owner/ hostel facilities listed.

1.1 Purpose

 To make an automatic system to carry out the various operations of hostel


 Targeting those students who come from far areas for higher education.
 To provide interactive user interface for both students and hostel owners.
 To reduce the stress and save the time of the students to find hostel manually.
 User friendly.

1.2 Scope

 This project aims at automating the hostel management for smooth working of the hostel by automating

almost all activities.


 This system provide a platform for owner of hostel to efficiently manage room bookings.
 By using this system, students will be able to easily reserve rooms online and make payments through
secured online payment gateways or pay manually to owner.

2. Positioning
2.1 Business Opportunity
 Hostel owner can online their hostel and make money. This will happen that owner can register their hostel
online. Without Spending money on advertisement owner just register their hostel to our system.
2.2 Problem Statement
The problem of  Students find hostel manually.
Affects  They visit many hostels and then select desired
hostel.
the impact of which is  Students waste many time to find hostel.
a successful solution would be  Students searches their desired hostel online.
 Students book the hostel online and make online
payment or pay manually.

The problem of  Students comes from far areas.


Affects  They don’t know about the city.
the impact of which is  They do not know about the proper address of the

3. Product Overview

Student can search hostel through Google Map. And find the nearest hostel to our university. This system is
Like AIRBNB and German system like wg gesucht Which facilitates student’s and also tourist. But our
System only focus on students.

3.1 Product Perspective


Our system provides facility to student’s basically our system is related to booking.com , Airbnb , wg
gesucht . we also add some extra features in our system and also neglect some features that these system
provides. Our main target audience is student who facilitates this system

4. Product Features
Google Map:
Student uses google Map to search hostels near to university. It is helpful for those students who comes
from outside the city and they do not understand the address. They can visualize the location of the hostel
quickly instead of written address.

Search Filter:
Student have the option to filter search result. E.g
I. Custom : Student can search hostel within 5 to 10 Km around his university.
II. Hostel rates : Student can search hostel according to his needs and budget.
III. Type : (Flat /Hostel)
IV. University Transport Route: Student can search hostel that are located on the way of university
buses route.

Create Request:
Student can create own request or wish.If the student want to book hostel in his desired location and
currently there is no hostel is available in that location so he create request that when the hostel is available
in that location then notify me.
Package Plan:
Student can select hostel according to package plan. Eg for 1 month, 3 months Or 6 months.

Online Payment:
Student can pay online through credit card or pay manually to the hostel owner. If he book hostel and
payment method selection is manual and the student cannot come to the hostel within 5 days then his
booking will be cancelled automatically.

Student Compliant:
Student can complain to the admin against the hostel owner behavior or hostel facilities listed and Admin
manages those complains.
Advertisement:
Owner request for hostel advertisement with complete details and features.
Search hostel through university transport Route:
Student have the option to search hostel that are available on the way of their university transport route
Standard Rates:
Admin receives the owner request and visit the hostel and check the facilities available and fix the standard
price of hostel.
5. Constraints

The most significant project constraints -- schedule and scope -- are sometimes known as the
constraint or the project management triangle. A project's scope involves the specific goals
deliverables and tasks that define the boundaries of the project.

Our system provides facility to student’s basically our system is related to booking.com , Airbnb , wg
gesucht . we also add some extra features in our system and also neglect some features that these system
provides.That is not important for our system. Our main target audience is student who facilitates this
system

6.1 Applicable Standards

To help keep our community safe and trusted, we’ve published our standards and expectations for all
Students who lives in hostels.

6.2 System Requirements

A minimum of 2 GB of RAM.And also internet connection with speed of 4Mbps or higher than that.
Processor with 2gigahertz.

6.3 Performance Requirements


Good internet speed for better performance also good system.
6.4 Environmental Requirements
This includes networking considerations and access to external services.
