1.5 LCD display instructions

【MAX】: Logger running in maximum value mode

【MIN】: Logger running in minimum value mode

【HOLD】: Display is held

1.6 Keyboard instructions

Button Instructions
ON / OFF
（1）When logger is power off, push this button will turn on the logger.
（2）When logger is power on, push this button will turn off the logger.
Recording Function
（1）When logger is power on, press this button, then LCD screen will show “LOG”
sign which indicates that the logger is recording data.
（2）Press the button for 3 seconds will put the logger in standby mode.
（3）In the condition of record, and are idle.
（4）The screen will display “FULL” symbol when storage space is full.

Backlight Button
Press this button to open the backlight, and press again to close the light.
Maximum Lock Button
Press this button once LCD shows “MAX” sign, which indicates that the logger
is recording maximum value for all channels; Press again to exit this mode.
Minimum Lock Button
Press this button once LCD shows “MIN” sign, which indicates that the logger
is recording minimum value for all channels; Press again to exit this mode.
Thermocouple Sensor Type Switch Button
Support 8 types of thermocouple sensors: J, K, E, T, R, S, N, B, and press to
switch between different types of sensors.
Measured Values Keeping Button
Press this button once, the LCD screen will display “HOLD” sigh which
indicates that the logger will keep the just measured value until the button
is pressed again.

2. Software Instruction
2.1 Connection and Comm Port

 Connect the logger with computer when it’s power on

 Right click on 【My Computer】,then 【Manage】, 【Device Manager】and 【Ports】
in order, find the port for CH340 cable.

2.2 Software Connection

Click on to find the software interface, then choose【Connection】, the

following dialog box will come out.

Click on 【OK】after choosing the right port and the Baud Rate is 38400.
Following buttons:【Disconnect】, 【Property】, 【Download】, 【Delete】and 【Realtime】
will be activated.

2.3 Property

Click on ，one will get the interface as the right side.

 Symbol is set to get properties of the logger.

 Symbol is to synchronize the modified properties to the logger. Click on this

symbol, system information, sampling setting, calibration and system time will be

synchronized to the logger.

Description of Properties
Property Text Description

Name Name of the logger User defined.

SN HXXXXXXXXX Must be the same as the one in the label

of logger.
Sampling Interval（s） Number from 1 to 240 Sampling frequency.

Logging Interval (s) Number from 1 to 86400 Logging frequency.

Channel Name English letters Name of channel as defined

2.4 Download and delete data

 Click button to download data, it will be saved in the computer automatically.

 Click button to delete all the records in the logger.

2.5 RealTime

Click on this button, it will enter the real-time data monitoring interface.

2.6 Data Analysis

The following graph will generate automatically after downloading data:

Here, name of the channels are the ones defined above.

3. Attention
3.1 Attention
 S220-T8 waterproof level is IP34. Do not connect loggers with computer when the logger

is on water.

 S220-T8 plastic shell is ABS, flame retardant, not resistant to acid and alkali.

 If repair is needed, only authorized technician could do the repair.

 The instrument configuration by 1 square section 9V battery is not rechargeable.

3.2 FAQ

 LCD Screen dim

Reason: insufficient battery or the environment temperature is too low or too high.

Solution: In the case of insufficient battery, please replace the battery. If resulted from

environment temperature, please immediately take the logger out of the environment.

 LOG symbol disappear

Reason: when the battery level is low, there will not be sufficient power to support recording
function of the logger.
Solution: replace the battery.
