Hello! Everyone!

I am Shreya Ganesh, IB -2

It was not an easy journey for me completing my schooling.

As a child was diagnosed born with “learning difficulties”.
What appears easy and simple for other children,
“Communication” was the most difficult thing for me. But,
with support of my family and few good teachers, I am
standing here today to receive this award because one thing I
understood very clearly is to be KIND, RESPECTFUL and
FRIENDLY.

Of course God has given me something special, that is Good

Memory and Music Knowledge.

WISHING PEOPLE
My capacity to remember Dates, Countries, Flags, and Capitals and so on was so natural to me. I
used it to ensure to greet everyone on their Birth day. Is it not beautiful when some wishes you? Yes,
of course, I did that and I will continue doing it.

MUSIC
When I was struggling with my communication skills, Music helped me a lot to fill that gap and
relaxed me.

I love Music. I love to listen, play and compose music. I did not take science or commerce stream.
AGS had Music as a subject in IGCSE, so I joined AGS (Well! I was the only student). When I finished
IGCSE, I was again struggling to choose required subjects for IB. Thanks to AGS for starting Music as a
subject in IB.

Music as a theory is as complicated as Maths or Science. But I have a great passion for it and I
already got a place in K M College of Music and Technology to do my Bachelors program in Music
run by the legendary Mr AR. Rahman. It is affiliated to Middlesex University, UK.

BEING KIND
Music is a beautiful medium to connect Heart and Mind. Through my parents, I realized, how
important it is to reach out to people who are not as privileged as we are. I started putting this value
into action
I decided to spend quality time
with Orphans on my 17th birth day.

The orphanage was in a remote

place in my home town. I sang
along with them, played games and
ate. All that money that would
have gone for a party was donated
for their well being! I continue
doing that.

This wasn’t enough for me; I

converted my IGCSE project
to a Mobile Ring tone and
started selling it through
online to raise charity.

I wanted to continue doing

this and I need your support
also to donate it to Autistic
children.

Charity
 Other than this I donated my hair twice for cancer kids, January 2017, first time 25 inches for
HairAid, Mumbai and January 2019, second time 15 inches for Hair For Happiness, Bangalore

January 2017 January 2019

 Been part of Flood Donation campaign in the school for recent “ Floods in Kerala”

Respect
In future, I want to explore all
possibilities to extend Music as a tool to
help people.

One such would be to pursue my carrier

to specialize in Music Therapy.
