1 Introduction
This document descries the installation steps of the New Smart Cards (New
e-Signature Card & New PRO Card) Reading tools (SoftSource Web Tool).
The porpuse of this tool is to enable the users of Tasheel System to be able
to read the new Smart Cards (New e-Signature Card & New PRO Card) via
Tasheel System or any other channel that reads the new Smart Cards (New
e-Signature Card & New PRO Card).

2 Guidelines of Smart Cards Reading Web Tool Installation


2.1 Requirement
1- Windows 7 or Windows 10 x86, x64.
2- .Net Framework 4.6 or higher.
3- Computer administrator privileges for installation.

2.2 Standard User Setting


Standard user of the computer will need the privilege to use port No. 8381
on the local computer, to give the standard user this privilege please run
command line as Administrator and run the following command:
netsh http add urlacl url=https://127.0.0.1:8381/ user=EVERYONE

2.3 Smart Cards Reading Tool Installation Steps
1- Download the Smart Cards Reading Tool installation file

2- Run the installation file “As administrator”


3- To start installation, click on Install:

4- After Installing the file, go to drive C:\ and locate the installed folder

5- Open the folder C:\SoftSource Web Tool, then right click on SoftSourceWebTool
(as described in the image below) and choose run as Administrator

6- After running the program with Administration Privileges the


following window will appear, also application icon will be shown in
the system tray:

7- Click on Binding Port button which is described on the following
image:

8- Then Click on Add Startup button as the following:

9- To make sure the service is running, click on Check Service button, if
the default browser is not Internet Explorer, open the following link
using Internet Explorer to check the service.
https://127.0.0.1:8381/
Note: Some Anti-virus programs may block this URL, please add
exception to (https://127.0.0.1:8381/) URL in the anti-virus program

10- Close the “Web Tool” window and the application will run in the
background, you can still access it by double click on the application icon
on in system tray.

11- If you want to exist the application, right click on the icon on system
tray and choose Exit.

2.4 Important Note
Make sure there is no more than one user Logged in Windows at the same
time when you use the Smart Cards Reading Tool

3 Guideline of Uninstalling the application


If the user wants to uninstall the application from the computer, the
following are the steps of uninstallation
1- Open the application with Administrator Privileges.
2- Click on Unbinding Port.
3- Click on Delete Start up
4- Go to Application folder in drive C:\ and delete the folder.
5- Open the Command prompt with administrator privileges and run
the following command:
netsh http delete urlacl url=https://localhost:8381/
