Solution:
a. the difference of is expression the symbol -
- 34 - 6 translate: the difference of -34 and 6
= -34 + (-6) rewrite substraction in terms of addition
= -62 add.
b. decreased by is expression the symbol -
- 34 - 6 translate: the difference of -34 and 6
= -34 + (-6) rewrite substraction in terms of addition
= -62 add.
