Who and what is Mara?

The Office of the MARA is attached to the Department of Immigration and Border Protec-
tion (DIBP) and administers the functions of the Migration Agents Registration Authority,
which is set out in s316 of the Migration Act 1958 (the Act). A Mara Lawyer is one who
practices international law and is registered in the office of MARA.

Documents required:
• Submit COLOUR scan documents both academic from 10th grade onwards and
work experience letter in 02 sets.
[One set take colour print and get Notarised by Advocate only (not Gazetted officer)
colour scan back and send. Another set just as colour scan]
• All pages of Passport in colour scan format including front cover and back cover
• Recent passport style photograph (35mm x 45mm) [not the scan copy but soft file it-
self]
• Payslips (02 slips from each year including recent 02 months, tax statements (for
every year of employment) and bank statements to match the payslips [provide any
two of three mentioned
• Signature in the authorise form attach to this file

Upon Receiving Assessment file results submit ‘Expression of Interest’
Documents required:
• Skill Assessment letter issued by Skill Assessing Authority (The Institute of Engi-
neers Australia)
• English test score is required at this stage for both primary and secondary applicant

• Relationship status document (civil union, marriage certificate, affidavit etc)
• Nomination letter from state if applicable (issued by Nominated state and assessed
by VETAESSESS if needed)

need to make one entry, it will be mentioned in the Permanent Residency grant letter]

Remarks:

We will apply for Civil Engineering assessment as there are enough seats and is suit-
able for general PR as well as State Nominated (subclasses 189, 190 and 489). It will
expedite the file looking at current need for Civil Engineers in Australia even without
any work experience. If applicant cannot score 8 in each band in IELTS or equivalent
exam then need get state nomination to cover the points or NAATI test.

Notes to follow:

1. Medical checks process:

• Australian Government’s “Department of immigration and Boarder protection” (DIBP)
will decide if you need a health check. If required they will issue a HAP ID with
details of centre you need to visit with a fee mentioned and request that you un-
dergo health examinations
• You use eMedical Client to consent to eMedical processing and complete your medical
history if required

• You download your eMedical Referral letter
• You make an appointment with an approved panel clinic or the migration medical ser-
vices provider and provide your HAP ID
• You attend your appointment and bring your eMedical Referral letter with you
• The clinic locates your case in eMedical using your HAP ID
• Clinic staff record your health examination results in eMedical
• Panel physician and/or radiologist grades and submits case to DIBP
• If a significant health condition is identified during immigration health examinations,
additional steps will be required to be completed.

2. Police Clearance Certificates:

If you are over the age of 16 and have lived in any of the countries listed on this page for a
total of one year or more in the last 10 years, you might be asked to get a police certificate
from that country.
The certificate must cover the period of time from the issue date back to the age you
ceased to be a minor, or must cover the whole time you were in a country.
For immigration purposes a police certificate is deemed to be valid for 12 months from the
issue date.
