Evaluation of lean systems in an industry

In this section you have provided rather longish summaries of the case studies. Your section
‘comparison’ is again a synopsis of what has happened at each organisation rather than a
comparison and evaluation.

As discussed in class and outlined in the assignment instructions, this means you need to focus on
how were the challenges similar/different? How did this impact the choice of solutions? Were the
solutions similar/different? Why? Why not? Would one solution be better than the other one? How
come?

You also did not evaluate the impact of lean thinking on the overall operations strategy of each
organisation.

Also, see comments on Turnitin.

Comparison of process improvement methodologies

Your section 3.3 leaves your reader mostly confused and not sure if you have understood the
concept of Six Sigma. See comments on Turnitin. Also, where is the ‘evaluation’?

Further, I am very much struggling with your choice of sources (3.1) or lack thereof (3.2 & 3.3). See
comments on Turnitin.

Organisation and coherence

See comments on Turnitin re executive summary, introduction and adding more paragraphs.

Style & Technical

You are quite sloppy with your referencing. Also, you must add more sources to give your
comparison and evaluation credibility.

Mistakes with regards to grammar, tenses, sentence structure and diction. Use ‘Grammarly’ and
consult Glen from Studyskills for further work.
