TECHNICAL GUIDELINES
1. EVENTS: The competitions will comprise of the following categories
.
EARLY AGE: 7 to 9 years old
BOYS AND GIRLS
SENI CATEGORY
1. TUNGGAL
2. GANDA
3. REGU
PRE-TEENAGER: 10 to 12 years old

BOYS GIRLS
a. An athlete born 2002 is qualified to compete in the Batang Pinoy 2017. Competitor
whose age ranges from 7 – 9 yr old is at Early Age division, 10 – 13 yr old is at Pre-
Teenager division, 13 – 15 yr old is at Teenager division respectively is eligible to
compete in the Batang Pinoy 2017 to be justified by an NSO Birth Certificate.
b. Participating LGU or Chapter may enter one (1) athlete per weight category for both
boys and girls Events. Each Tanding (Fight) competitor is also allowed to register
two (2) entries to compete in the Artistic / Seni (Tunggal,Ganda,Regu) events.
d. For safety net purposes, all tanding athletes must provide their own mouthpiece,
shin guards and arm guards.
e. Each contestant must produce a certified medical certificate, i.e. a letter to prove
good health issue by authorized doctor/clinic, one (1) month maximum before the
first competition regardless the competition category.
f. A contestant who fails to show the medical certification before weigh-in will be
disqualified from the competition. The organization committee may recommend
certain doctor/hospital in the Host City, where cost is borne by the contestant team.
g. LGUs/Chapters must register and submit their Entry By Number and Entry By Name
ON LINE at pscbatangpinoy.gov.ph.com and provide PHILSILAT a copy of Entries
during registration day to confirm each entry of athlete’s event participated.
i. Team manager / coach may allowed to change entry by name during registrations
day.
j. Draw lots will follow after the official registration of the competitors has been done
at a designated venue.

COMPETITIONS SYSTEM
3. Match/Tanding
a). Each competing class category should be joined by at least two (2) competitors who
eventually meet at the final round.
b). A re-weighing is required to be conducted for every competitor fifteen (15) minutes prior
the match begins for every weight category.
c). Competitor found to be under or overweight after the reweight-in is done he/she will be
automatically disqualified to compete anymore.
d). Strictly no claims and protest will be entertained five (5) minutes after the result of
winner is declared by a referee.
e). Claims and protest can be made only at the Jury of Appeal by the Team Manager in
writing along with Php 5,000.00 protest money’
f). Result of the protest that will be declare after a thorough reviewed and investigation by
the Jury of Appeal is irrevocable and absolutely final.
When a Tunggal and Regu participated by more than seven (7) participants, a pool system will
be arranged into two (2) pools division for an elimination round.
a) A two (2) pools division of contestants will be determined at a Technical Meetings
and Draw Lots of the Team Managers and Coaches.
b) Three ((3) of the contestants with the highest scores from each pool division will
proceed to final round.
c) An inspection of weapons will be done at a designated place before the Tunggal
competitions.
4. REFEREES / JURORS
a) The competitions will be conducted by an accredited Referees & Jurors holding an
International or National / Local Federation certificate.
b) Participating LGU or Chapter may nominate one referee / juror to conduct the
competitions fair and smooth upon confirmation by the PHILSILAT Technical
Delegates.
c) A refresher or workshop will be conducted by PHILSILAT Technical Delegate one
day prior the competition proper.
d) Referees/Jurors may arrive on 10 July 2017.
There shall be a technical meeting of the Team Managers or Coaches and followed by
draw lots of competitors on the 08 July 2017. Time and venue will be determined and
announced during official registration and weight-in day.
6. GENERAL MATTERS
Any matters arise during the competition proper which is not stated herein the
competitions system is subject to the final decision of the Tournament Director and the
Jury of Appeal.
A. Birth Certificate (Certified True Copy) from NSO or the from the Office of the Local
Civil Registrar
B. LGU Endorsement from any of the following officials (Governor, Mayor or their duly
appointed Sports Coordinators).
C. LGU ENTRY FORM – It is a Delegation Master List indicating the names, sports and
ages of the participating athletes to be certified by the above officials (see B).
D. Waiver of Medical Liability to be signed by the LGU representative or Coach
