Maria: Ok, ok, fear not children. Let's just think of our favorite things so we could drive away, the
trolls, as you say, outside!

(Starts to sings "Favorite Things".)
Children: What else? What else?
Maria: Hmmm.. I like reading the Chain of Chances.
Children: Chain of Chances? What is it?
Maria: I'd like to say it's an absurd tale of the princesses.
Child: How can it be absurd if it's one of your favorite things?
Maria: Okay now, listen to me, do you want me to read the book?
Children: Oh, please Maria! We want to hear it!
( Maria gets the book, opens it and starts reading.)
Maria: Okay, this is the story. Are you excited?
Children: Yes, we are!

Elsa: Ana, my hair is getting whiter, I’m dying and I want to marry someone before the grim
reaper takes me away!
Ana: But sister, you can’t just marry a man you’re about to meet!
Elsa: This is my last wish, Ana. And you shall grant it as your sister, and as your Queen.
Ana: Oh sister! My sister! If that's your wish, I'll bring you the man that most suits you and you
shall never be disappointed!

Maleficent: Good luck, dear, good luck.
(Maleficent goes away and laughs wickedly. Meanwhile, Aurora opens the gift.)

Maid: There she is, in her bed.
Prince: Oh Princess, thy beauty shalt never be put to sleep. My kiss is the cure, I’m sure!
(But just before the kiss lands on the lips of the silly princess, Aurora wakes up.)
Aurora: (Yawns) Oh what a long, tight sleep! Who are you?

Cinderella: Mother!
Cinderella: Whatever!
(After cleaning, Cinderella goes back to her room and frets to find her dress missing.)
Cinderella: My dress! My dress! Where’s my dress! I cannot go to the ball without it. (cries) But I
shall never give up. I'll try to look for it outside! My wicked sisters may have thrown it in the
garbage!
(Cinderella goes out of the castle to find her dress when she finds a man standing by the garbage
can. The prince sings 'Your Man." )
Cinderella: Oh what a lovely man! What a lovely voice! (Approaches the Prince) Excuse me, have
you noticed someone by any chance carrying a dress around here?
(Cinderella is very glad to see her dress in a bag carried by the Prince.)
Cinderella: I’m Cinderella, by the way, the one and only true heiress of this castle. The ugly ladies
you saw are my sisters. Never mind them. Now would you mind to introduce yourself!?
Prince: Oh, my princess! (curtsies) Forgive my silliness. I'm prince Castor of Monsouri!
Cinderella: My Prince! Stand up. Are you the one who invites the ladies to the ball tonight?
Prince: The invitations are from my parents. But Yes, I am the Prince.
(Everyone is chit-chatting, giggling and teasing. In the midst of the merriment, the princesses,
except for Cinderella, come into sight, they great each other. They're old friends, you know. The

King: Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome you all to this very momentous night. Thank you so much
for your most friendly acceptance of our invitation. As I and the queen are not getting younger
anymore, my son shall soon succeed the throne. But before our last breath, I wanted to see my
son have his own family to love and care for. So I held this celebration as to find the lady who will
best win the heart of my son, Prince Castor ...
Prince: Thank you very much for coming tonight. I'm much surprised to see all the young ladies
here hoping to...
(The prince stops talking mid-sentence. The witch comes in. Thunder is heard. Lights flicker.)
Rapunzel: Huh? She's your mother, Belle? But as what I have known, you don't have a mother!
Rapunzel: No she's my mother. I just don't know when she started to have horns!
(Cinderella runs to the Maleficent but stops when Maleficent holds out her hand.)
Maleficent: No dear! I'm not your mother. I'm your step mother.
Cinderella: I get it, but...what's this all about?! Why do you have horns?! And how come the ladies
are calling you their...
Maleficent: Stop! Stop! Stop! Now, Cinderella, don't be a magpie! This is my moment!
King: Who the devil are you to cut short the bliss of this party?!
Maleficent: First, sire, I'm not a devil. Second, I'm the mother of these little fellas here who
happened being born to different fathers. But I, for the life of me, despise them for they are to take
away the glory of my beauty!
Princesses: Oh, what a fallen angel! How could you!
Maleficent: Blah! Blah! Blah! Shut up! All of you! Is the curse I've given you not enough!
Prince: You Mistress of Evil! Don't ruin our party and get out of here!
Maleficent: Too late my prince! Too late! But good for you to be here for I've come to cast my last
spell! Hahahahhaa
Someone: She just had a cardiac arrest after that high note!
(The prince lies on the floor unconscious. When he wakes up, he touches the face of the waiter.)
Prince: Oh my love! I've been waiting for thee all my life. Now I've finally met you.
Pincesses: What?!
Belle: He!
(Cinderella walks out in a jiff, her sandal was left on the floor.)
The waiter: Sure I won't my prince, for I've been waiting also for this moment all my life!
Aurora: Cinderella has left her sandal! I shall go after her to give this!
Belle: Don't waste your time, dear.
Rapunzel: Let's see who will cry tomorrow looking for it. (Laughs)
Maria: And everyone lives not so happily every after, except of course for the prince and his
knight and shining shimmering splendid armor.
Maria: Well, good to see you asleep, my children. I'm not really sure what would be your reaction
on the ending of the story. Good night now, dearest angels, good night.
