SYNOPSIS LEGAL METHODLOGY

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF LAW


INTRODUCTION-
The law is important for a society as it serves as a norm of conduct for citizens. Law is what
which is directly related to society as it changes according to the society that’s why law is very
flexible and because of that societal change law is needed and this above mention relation
between law and society shows that all the purposes of law directly serves to the society.
There are many purposes and objectives of law and some of them are establishing standards,
maintaining order, resolving disputes, protecting liberties and rights of persons, providing
remedies to the victims, and directs how to make laws.
1. ESTABLISING STANDARDS-
This law is a guideline to the minimum accepted behavior in society. There are some activities
that are a crime for a society to determine it will not tolerate certain behaviors that may
damage or injure the person or their property. For example, it is a crime to injure a person
without any sort of justification. Thus, doing so can constitute a crime of assault.
2. MAINTAINING ORDER-
This law is considered as an offshoot to establishing the standards. Some resemblance is
necessary for a civilized society. Therefore, the same is reflected in the law. Furthermore, the
law when it is enforced provides consistency with the society’s guidelines.
3. RESOLVING DISPUTES-
Disputes are not avoided in a society that has been comprised of people with different wants,
needs, values, etc. Also, the law provides a formal means to solve the disputes which are the
court system.
4. PROTECTING LIBERTIES AND RIGHTS OF PERSONS-
The constitutions and the statutes of India provide for various rights and liberties in its states.
Also, one function of the law is to protect various rights and liberties from unreasonable or
violations intrusions by organizations, persons or government.
Thus, if someone believes that the freedom of speech has been prohibited by the government
may pursue the remedy by bringing the case in the courts.

OBJECTIVE OF STUDY-
The objective of research are-
1. To explain different purposes and objectives of law in detailed and understand them.
2. To explain how other laws serves its purpose and objectives to the society.
3. To explain the purpose and objectives of constitution of India.

RESEARCH QUESTION-
The research question helped in providing adequate emphasis to the core issue of the
research and based on the issue the research study use to be conducted. Therefore, as the
research question focus on the core issue of the research study, it plays important role in this
study.
1. what are the purpose and objectives law serves to the society?
2. how purpose and objectives of law related to social welfare?

LITERATURE REVIEW-
The researcher has taken information from various books, web sources, articles, journals, and
case laws to explain the purpose and objectives of law and its interrelation with different
dimensions and with constitution of India.

RESEARCH METHODLOGY-
The study is based on the doctrinal method of research and both primary and secondary
sources are taken into consideration while making it like websites, books, and other internet
sources. The type of study done here is descriptive and explanatory study. This research
process deals with collecting & analysing information within the boundaries of the topic.

SCOPE OF STUDY-
The scope of study is wide because in this project I will discuss about different purpose and
objectives of law in detailed and their interrelation with different dimensions like economic,
political, etc and Also I relate my project with constitution of India so that’s why scope of
study is wide.

SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY-
This project helps to understand the purposes and objectives of law and helps me to
understand that what purposes and objectives laid down by constitution and different other
laws and how it helps in the welfare of society.
