    About Copa Airlines


    Copa Airlines is headquartered in Panama City, Panama and is the flag
    carrier of Panama. It has its main hub at Tocumen International Airport. It is a
    subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A. and is also a member of Star Alliance. Copa is
    also the main operator and owner of Colombian airline AeroRepública, presently
    known as Copa Airlines Colombia.

    Founded in 1947, Copa began domestic operations to three cities in Panama

    About Copa Airlines’ Fleet
    ❖ First Latin American customer of the Embracer E-190 was Copa Airlines.
    Copa also operated the longest scheduled Boeing 737-700 flight in the
    world between Panama City and Montevideo, Uruguay, and afterwards, it
    was overtaken by Airlines’ Stavanger to Houston service.
    ❖ Copa Airlines announced an order to purchase ten Embracer 190 aircraft
    back in October 2004 with options for an additional 20 aircraft. Six aircrafts
    were then delivered in the first quarter of 2007.
    ❖ Copa showed interest in acquiring the re-engineered Boeing 737 MAX
    family in the year 2012. And in April 2015, the airline placed a firm order for
    61 Boeing 737 MAX-8 and MAX-9 aircraft. Aircrafts for each variant has yet
    to be published.

    Copa Airlines: Destinations


    Travelling across 80 different destinations in 33 beautiful countries of North
    America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean, Copa Airlines is
    continuously serving its customers with utmost comfort and economic fares. The
    airline started flights to Salta, Argentina from 2018’s December 12th and began
    the flights to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from 16th December in the same year and
    also announced flights to Paramaribo, Suriname in January, 2019 and will be

    • Economy Class:

    Economy seats can be reserved on all Copa aircrafts. Economy seats on brand-new
    Boeing 737-800s comes with an adjustable headrest and a personal AVOD with a 5
    inches (13 cm) touch screen, while older 737-800s have entertainment on flip down
    screens above the seats. In Copa, food and snacks are available on domestic, short,
    and some medium-haul international flights whereas full meals are complimentary
    on all other medium and long-haul international flights. In addition, alcoholic drinks
    are complimentary for economy passengers on all flights.

    Business class seats are present on all aircrafts of Copa Airlines except for one
