    MATERIALS:
    4-ply worsted weight yarn, any color, size H hook

    INSTRUCTIONS:
    Ch 4, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.

    Round 1: Ch 3; 2 dc in ring; ch 2; (3 dc in ring, ch 2) 3 times; join with sl


    st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.

    Round 2: Sl st in next 2 dc and in ch-2 sp; ch 3; in ch-2 sp work (dc, ch 3,


    2 dc) - beg corner made; *dc in next st; skip next st; dc in next st; dc in
    skipped st; in next ch-2 sp work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) – corner made; rep from
    * 3 times; dc in next st; skip next st; dc in next st; dc in skipped st; join
    with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.

    Round 3: Sl st in next dc and in ch-3 sp; work beg corner; (dc in next st;
    *skip next st; dc in next st; dc in skipped st; rep from * across to corner;
    work corner) rep between ( ) 3 times; (dc in next st; skipnext st; dc in next
    st, dc in skipped st) across last side; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.

    Rounds 4+: Repeat Round 3 until square measures desired size. Finish off.
