Chapter III: Methodology

The experimental method was used in this study. It is


a systematic and scientific approach to research, in which
the research manipulates one or more variables, and control
and measure any change in other variables.

The statistical treatment of the data was survey. A


survey is a method of gathering information from a sample
of people, traditionally with the intention of generalizing
the results to a larger population. Surveys provide a
critical source of data and insights for nearly everyone
engaged in the information economy, from businesses and the
media to government and academics.

Materials

o Mung beans o Container


o Bread o Lid of the
o Water Container
o Spray bottle
Procedure

1. Prepare the materials.


2. Punch a hole on the lid.
3. Remove the crust of the slice of bread.
4. Tear a slice of bread into crumbs.
5. Put the crumbs in the container.
6. Spray water on the crumbs of bread thrice.
7. Strew the mung bean on top of the bread, make
sure that the mung bean isn’t fully buried in the
bread and the mung bean is still visible.
8. Spray water on the mung bean thrice.
9. Cover the container with the lid.
10. Take the container outside in the morning. Place
in good area and bring back inside at evening.
11. Spray water daily.

First Trial

Punch a hole on the lid. Remove the crust of the bread.

Tear the bread into crumbs.


Strew the mung beans to the bread.

Spray water. Cover the container.

Day 2 Day 3

A day after the start of experiment,On the 3 day, most mung beans
the mung beans turned light green.are cracked and one mung bean is
And half are showing a slight crack. starting to sprout.
Second Trial

There were no changes in the


procedure.
