ABSTRACT

Technology Learning Lab is the future of Education as well as Business, company is


teaching their employees for productive output and to motivate them about their work. It is
nearly impossible to find out where is employee lagging behind and what they really need
and so if we cannot find what to teach then we cannot do anything for that. Creating manual
programs for individuals or small groups is not a good idea and takes more time, money and
temporary results. And hence we started with different programs that are JBP learning,
FDFC, Event Based Learning, Video Job Description and HOT Breakthrough.
This sub-projects started under one main project that is Technology Learning Lab
which empowers the Digitalization in Business and Education. Each program is for
advancement of learning type and better performance of employees as output. JBP learning,
we provide small learning bytes for XDSS and DSS on platform of JBP app. Without
watching this learning videos XDSS and DSS are not able to mark their attendance.In FDFC
(Fifty days Fitness Challenge), we make our employee aware about importance of
fitness.Event Based Learning is a wide topic which has different aspects, here we designed
one android application for Jio Center where customer can give feedback.Defect Based
Training is part of Event Based learning that is applied in Hiring, Onboarding and Training
process. Chat bot is a computer program designed to simulate conversation with human
users, especially over the Internet. The best source of doing automation is nothing but
implementation of chat bots on Jio careers portal. Chat bot is a computer program designed

CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

About Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited

Reliance JioInfocomm Limited, Jio, is an Indian mobile network operator company. Owned
by Reliance Industrialization and headquartered in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, it operates a
national (Long Term Evolution)LTE network with coverage across all 22 telecom groups.
Jio does not offer 2Generation or 3Generation service, and instead uses voice over LTE to
provide voice service on its network.
On 27 December 2015 (the eve of what would have been the 83rd birthday of Reliance
Industries founder Dhirubhai Ambani) Jio soft was launched, with a beta for partners and
employees, and became publicly available on 5 September 2016. In September 2018, it is
the third largest mobile network operator in India and the ninth largest mobile network
operator in the world with over 252.252 million user.
The Reliance Industries Limited's chairman MukeshAmbani,launched fixed line broadband
service named Gigafiber, on 5 July 2018 during the company's Annual General Meeting.In
June 2010, Reliance Industries (RIL) bought a 96% stake in Infotel Broadband Services
Limited (IBSL) for 4,800 crore (US$670 million). Although unlisted, IBSL was the only
one company that won broadband range in all 22 groups in India in the 4G auction that took
place earlier that year. Later enduring as RIL's telecom subsidiary, Infotel Broadband
Services Limited was renamed as Reliance JioInfocomm Limited (RJIL) in January2013.
In June 2015, Jiostated that it would start its operations all over the country by the end of
2015. However, 4 months later in October, the company's orators sent outa press release
uttering that the launch was on hold to the first quarter of the financial year2016–2017.
Later in July, a Public Interest Litigation(PIL) filed in the Supreme Court by an NGO called
the Centre for Public Interest Litigation, through Prashant Bhushan, faced the grant of the
pan-India licence to Jiopvt ltd by the Government of India. The PIL (Public Interest
Litigation) also alleged that Jio was permissible to provide voice telephony along with its
4G data service, by paying an additional charges of just 165.8 crore (US$23 million) which
was arbitrary and unreasonable, and contributed to a loss of 2,284.2 crore (US$320 million)
to the exchequer.
The Indian Department of Telecom (DoT), however, disproved all of CAG's assertions. In
its statement, DoT explained that the rules for 3G and BWA range didn't restrict BWA
victors from providing voice telephony. As a result, the PIL was canceled, and the charges
were discharged. According to Bernstein report, Jio to become India‟s No 1 telecom
machinist by 2021 by funding sales.

Products

JioPhone
On 21 July 2017, Jioannounced its first reasonably priced 4G feature phone, powered
byKaiOS, named as JioPhone. The price proclaimed for it is 0 with a security deposit of
1500 which can be withdrawn back by the user by returning the JioPhone at Jiostores only
after three years. This phone was unconfined for beta operators on 15 August 2017 and pre-
booking for regular operators started on 24 August2017.

JioPhone 2
A second model with a QWERTY keyboard, as well as Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube
applications, was released in July 2018 for 2,999.

4Gbroadband
The company hurled its 4G broadband amenities throughout India in September 2016. It
was scheduled to release in December 2015 after some reports said that the company was to
come to receive final permits from the government. Jio offers fourth-generation (4G) data
and voice amenities, along with marginal services like immediate messaging and streaming
movies and music.
The company has a network of more than 250,000 km of fiber optic cables in the country,
over which it will be associating with native cable operators to get wider connectivity for its
broadband services. With its multi-service operator (MSO) licence, Jiowill also serve as a
TV channel distributor and will offer television-on-demand on its network

LYF smartphones
In June 2015, Jioentered into an agreement with domestic handset maker Intex to supply 4G
handsets capable of voice over LTE (VoLTE). However, in October 2015, Jioproclaimed
that it would be introducing its own mobile handset brand namedLYF.
On 25 January 2016, the company hurled its LYF smartphone series initiating with Water 1,
through its chain of electronic retail openings, Reliance Retail. Three more handset models
have been released so far, namely Water 2, Earth 1, and Flame1.

JionetWiFi
Forgoing to its pan-India launch of 4G data and telephony amenities, Jio has initiate
providing free Wi-Fi hotspot amenities in cities throughout India including Surat,
Ahmedabad in Gujarat, and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Indore, Jabalpur, Dewas and

Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, choose locations of Mumbai in Maharashtra Kolkata in West
Bengal, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Bhubaneswar in Odisha Mussoorie in Uttarakhand,
Collectorate's Office in Meerut,and at MG Road in Vijayawada among others.
In March 2016, Jio started providing free Wi-Fi internet to spectators at six cricket stadiums
hosting the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 matches. Jionet was made accessible in Wankhede
Stadium (Mumbai), Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium (Mohali), Himachal
Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (Dharamshala), Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru),
Feroz Shah Kotla (Delhi), and Eden Gardens (Kolkata) in India.

Jio GigaFiber
Jio launched Jio Giga Fibre on 15 August 2018 which offers high speed broadband, landline
and DTH services at reasonable prices.

JioApps
In May 2016, Jiopropelled a bundle of hypermedia apps on Google Play as part of its
upcoming 4G services. While the apps are accessibleto download for everyone, a user will
require a JioSIM card to use them. Additionally, most of the applications are in the beta
stage. Following is a list of theapps:

Affordable 4Gphones

Reliance Jio has teamed up with Google to manufacture affordable 4G handsets. These
phones will run exclusively on Jio network. The two companies are also occupied on
developing software for smart-TV amenities. Both were predictable to launch in 2017.

JioFi

Jio has also launched Wi-Fi routers by the name JioFi.

LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

In the world of automation and technology, we want things to work independently


without any human interaction. Everyone is interested in digital world and looking forward
to make everything simple and interactive. Digitalization is the integration of digital
technology into everyday life by the digitization of everything that can be digitized. The
meaning of digitalization gives an apparent idea of development and technology dependent
world. In this chapter, digitalization implies computerization of systems and jobs for better
ease and accessibility.

The digital transformation consist of placing the customer at the center of the
business, and while this involves work and responsibility, it also offers significant
advantages. Digitization goes hand in hand with data management, data is knowledge, and
knowledge leads to better decision. Digitalization surely improves the quality of work but
there is a limit and we cannot digitalize everything. Because forced digitalization may
results into worst failure and loss in respective area of applied technology.

The digitalization of business is not always a simple process, but it can bring great
benefits. In addition, the market forces this and the company which fails to do so will
probably have problems in maintaining its competitiveness. Learning that occurs over a
period of time and which has a sense of occasion can be described as an "event". In
computer programming, event-driven programming is a programming prototype in which
flow of the program is determined by events such as key presses, mouse clicks etc.

Event Based Learning is an event which occurs to teach after performing any activity. If
someone is committing any mistake while performing any event then event occurs to teach
the performer that how to do the things perfectly. It is very unrealistic and impossible to
teach someone personally at every point after, before, or while performing any action and
hence Event Based Programming is best option to do this thing.

In JBP learning, we provide small learning bytes for XDSS and DSS on platform of JBP

Asst.JPM for candidates to know about the roles and responsibilities of JPM before Hiring.

Game Based learning, we have make simple drag and drop games for learning and training
the employees of Jio.

Chatbot is also known as a smartbots, talkbot, chatterbot,Conversational interface or
Artificial Conversational. Entity is a computer program or an artificial intelligence which
conducts a conversation through auditory or textual methods. Such programs are designed to
simulate how a human would behave as a conversational partner, thereby passing the Turing
test. Bots are used in dialog systems for various practical purposes including information
acquisition. In the scientific literature, chatbots are more formally referred to as
conversational agents. In the context of this document, the terms chatbot/conversational
agent will be used interchangeably.Therefore, the definition of a chatbot adopted for this
document is a computer program communicating by text in a humanly manner and who
provides services to human users in order to accomplish a well-defined goal.

Cause of Idea Generation

Event Based Learning


Nowadays, each and every organization is looking for digitalized systems rather than
manual one. For any organization it is very important to keep track of everything when it
comes to something related to consumers and customers and hence they build digitalized
systems. We traced that in Jio centers feedback form is filled manually on paper and then
employee upload the rating into the system. It is time taking as well as not transparent
process and hence we decided to build one feedback system for Jio centers where we
integrate Event based Learning concept.
As Reliance Jio we are digital service provider and we want everything digitalized
what can be digitalized. All we know that need is a mother of invention so when we felt the
need of digitalized system for feedback of customers at Jio centers we started design the
system. Everything is secondary but anticipation, we anticipated the system and started
working on it accordingly.
For better user experience it was very important to build system which will track the
experience of customer and record the data from Jio centers so we can further improve the
quality of services and teach our employees that how to do quality work.

Game Based Learning


Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited Employees are learning-hungry. They are open to
any kind of learning that can increase their skill set either in their work arena or in any
professional environment. This nature can be reflected by the numbers we get at the Jio
Learning portal.
Game-based learning (GBL) involves a new way of training the employees of Jio.
We are talking about the use of games for learning. The offer for gamified content is
increasing and getting more and more varied, with video games designed for nearly all
target audiences and sectors.

Jio Beat Planner


Here are some of the main benefits of using Technology Enabled Learning in the
organization.

 Improves knowledge retention
 Encourages individual learning
 Encourages collaboration
 Employee can learn useful skills through technology
Technology can be used to improve teaching and learning and help employees be
successful. However, technology can be a “force multiplier” for the one who is interested to
share the knowledge.
By learning and watching the videos of JBP the employees will get motivated , aware about
the things happening and they will work with full dedication.

Defect Based Training

After developing an application for Jio center we went for main goal that is applying
concept of Event Based Learning in Hiring, Onboarding and Training process.So there are
some BreakThrough points which should be avoided during Hiring and Onboarding Process,
So for that we have to design video based training for Recruiters.
We found following 7 aspects where we can apply the concept:-

 Document Missing For Negotiation
 SM & Above configuration in RSML
 Submission With Criminal History Flag „Yes‟

Video Job Description


A Job description video is an video that clearly states the essential job requirements, job
duties, job responsibilities, and skills required to perform a specific role.So, While Hiring
one should know the roles and responsibilities of position the Video Job Description is
designed.

Chat Bot
Chat bot is a computer program designed to simulate conversation with human users,
especially over the Internet. Manager has got frustrated by replying to those emails and
phone calls. Due to which they were unable to give there quality time planning and other
important activities. That was one of the greatest disadvantage for an organization.
Candidate was also get frustrated when they not getting the response from recruiter which
creates one negative impression on candidates. It has taken time period of 4 months to built
complete chat bot and to send it live on jio careers portal with the functionality of SAP
integration. Bot is reading live data which has stored in SAP. When candidates has used
RAJ. They are getting a quick response, no need to email to recruiter and wait for response.
RAJ is the first Artificial intelligence and Machine learning product for Reliance
Jio.Similary, we have an idea to make another two Bot on Jio certification and Screening
test and this project is in progress and the team is working on it.

Objective

Event Based Learning


 It increases the transparency, decreases the time consumption and customers can
provide their feedback easily.
 Integration of Event Based Learning concept into the feedback system will make it
more efficient and employees can learn how to work efficiently.
 It decreases the efforts and we can easily record customers‟ feedback.
 We can educate our employees according to the feedback they get.
 It will help to make our services even better.

Game Based Learning


Learning is more than rote memorization, it is the development of skills and
understanding. Games are particularly suited for engaging employee in skill development or
new contexts for an extended period of time. As we play the game, we develop skills as a
side effect of the game play, not as the end goal.This project is under testing.

Defect Based Training


After Applying concept of Event Based Learning in Hiring, Onboarding and Training
process. There are some HOT BreakThrough points which should be avoided during Hiring
and Onboarding Process, So for that we have to design video based training for Recruiters.

Jio Beat Planner


Objective of technology enabled learning is to aware employees about the learning styles
and their perceptions. Our aim was to determine the impact of awareness of E-Learning
among employees and motivating them to work. Online education is an education on the
internet. It means one does not need to attend any physical sessions. Due to rapid increase in
internet usage, online education courses have bought up.
And the scope of online learning at present day has broadened beyond classical teaching.
This is due to ease of educational technology in teaching than in classical mode. Further the
scope of online education is not just restricted to online tuition alone.

Video Job Description

A Job description video is an video that clearly states the essential job requirements,
job duties, job responsibilities, and skills required to perform a specific role. We have to
made video for position of JPM and Asst. JPM for candidates to know about the roles and
responsibilities of JPM before Applying for Position.

Chatbot
A chatbot can interacts with a real person behaving like a human.
Let‟s list down objectives and purpose of chatbots.You can create chatbots for any business
the same as you recruit a person for any department of your company.

A chatbot can be implemented anywhere a human is interacting with a computer system.


These are the areas where the fastest adoption is occurring. We can use bots as an
“assistant” to a live agent, increasing the agent‟s efficiency. Bots can be used for sales
qualification, ecommerce, promotional campaigns, or as a branding vehicle. An Human
Resource chatbot can help with frequently asked questions and can act as an onboarding
assistant.

Event Based Learning


 Always in any project first step is requirement gathering. As without requirement
process of any project can‟t be initiated. So, firstly analyzing the work flow and
requirement of different tools. Main motto is to give result on Technology Enabled
Learning.
 Different projects under Technology Enabled Learning requires different tools and
methodology.
 Event Based Learning requires knowledge of learning and development and as we
were developing an android app, it required Android Studio.
 Storing of data is very important in order to create an effective application. And we
took help of Firebase Database for that.

Jio Beat Planner


 Jio Beat Planner project required good videos under banner of Jio.
 For video editing we made use of Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro CC softwares.

Jio Learning
 Jio Learning required mailers, standees, that needed to be designed.
 Character for Jio Learning is designed using Adobe Illustrator software.

Defect Based Training


 Under Defect Based Training project videos to be design on basis of the aspects of
HOT Breakthrough under banner of Jio.
 For video editing and designing we made use of Camtasia , Adobe Premiere Pro CC
and Adobe Illustrator softwares.

Video Job Description

 Video Job Descriptions we developed video for position of JPM and Asst.JPM for
candidates to know about the roles and responsibilities of JPM before Hiring.
 For this we made use of Video Scribe and Adobe Premier Pro CC Softwares.

Chatbot
 Chatbot are implemented in various sub project under technology learning labs under the
banner of Jio.
 We have implemented Chatbot using Dialogflow.

Event Based Learning


 Development of an android app is easy only if you know how to apply logic. In Jio
Center app we designed customer and employee journey differently.
 Integration of Jio Center app to Firebase Database was very important in order to
save customers‟ feedback in real time and then show his average rating to employee.

Jio Beat Planner and Defect Based Training


 Video editing is as difficult as programming but of course practice makes man
perfect. For video editing and take best out from the worst We needed good Video
Editing app. So, We had downloaded Camtasia and Adobe Premier Pro CC software
got license key from my manager and started learning the software.

Jio Beat Planner :
In methodology there are few steps which are explained further:
First of all, the video team capture the video of the employees . Those videos are in very bad
format and there is noise in videos so first we have to remove noise from audio. Import the
video file from the import window then insert the video file from the file location. Next, we
have to separate the audio and video of the file and export the audio by “export audio frame”
option. Then open the audio file in another software which is used to reduce the noise in the
audio.
After inserting the audio file, we have to select the noise profile in the audio. Save the
selected noise and then apply noise removal feature on the file, by applying noise removal
feature the selected profile of noise get removed. Then save the audio which do not contain
any noise and open the audio file in video editing software.
Next, we delete the unwanted stuff from video and then we give effects to the start and end
of video. After applying effects, transition was applied on the mid of the videos. Last step is
to publish video in MP4 Format this is done by two keys (ctrl + m). Through these steps the
bad format of videos gets a new look which are publish to Reliance Jio Employees on JBP.

After developing an application for Jio center we went for main goal that is applying
concept of Event Based Learning in Hiring, Onboarding and Training process.Videos was

aspect in video.Then audio file is made and according to audio the video is timelined then
afterwards the effects are added to video then we added effects to the start and end of video.
After completion of video it is sent for further approval to authorities.7 aspect video is made
by me for Defect Based Training.

of the position the video timeline is framed .Audio file is added to the video using Adobe

Learning is more than rote memorization, it is the development of skills and


understanding. Games are particularly suited for engaging employee in skill development or
new contexts for an extended period of time. We are on trial mode for this project , we are
creating and designing games on trial basis using H5P platform.First we have to find the
content for the game under the banner of Jio after that the content is designed using the
designing softwares and then the game is developed using the platform.

RAJ is recruitment assistant for Jio. It is an official bot that is present on Reliance Jio career
website. It is actually a live project and it is the first AI & ML(Artificial Intelligence &
Machine Learning) product for reliance Jio career website. Dialogflow is the platform for
creation of RAJ.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. By using Event Based Learning, the feedback of the

In JBP learning, we provide small learning bytes for XDSS and DSS on platform of JBP
app. Without watching this learning videos XDSS and DSS are not able to mark their
attendance. These videos are well tailored & are less in time length making it attractive &
effective simultaneously.

Defects Based Training videos are some HOT BreakThrough points which should be
avoided during Hiring and Onboarding Process, So for that I have to design video on aspects
for training of Recruiters.Seven Videos are made based on aspects of HOT Breakthrough.

We had sorted number of questions in three categories first is FAQ , second is Get Data , and
the third is Dynamic type. Dyanmic is the type of questions in which bot is giving path to
communication.

globe technology enabled learning will become increasingly viable and accessible. Internet
connection speeds are increasing and demand is growing, and with that, opportunities for
more multimedia and digital training methods arise. With the immense improvement of
mobile networks in the past few years and the increase in telecommuting, taking all the

and other portable digital devices. Social media technology is also transforming education
