Why Provocative Clothes Shouldn’t be the Reason of Sexual Harrasment

Taken from International Labor Organization (year), sexual harassment is unwelcome

conduct of a sexual nature, which makes a person feel offended, humiliated and/or intimidated.
This act can take in smallest forms to most disturbing forms, such as inappropriate comments or
catcalling, unwelcomed touching gesture or unwanted physical contact, rape, sexual assault,
and any obvious or indirect, intentional or unintentional acts of verbal, nonverbal, or physical
aggression and intimidation which possibly leads to sexual actions. At this day and age, it is
common to find people sexualizing anything. The object being sexualized does not even have to Commented [MS1]: Source?

There are some factors that may be possibly caused why the perpetrators committed

still haunt her. “It doesn’t matter what you wear. Some men think they have the right to prey,

was a distant relative who used to harass me. But I didn’t tell anyone. After a while I just made

If someone covered from head to toe could be sexually harassed, then it is surely
possible that people can undress anyone and sexualize them in their minds. It should not be in
the hands of the victims of why they were raped, because they can’t control people’s sexual
interests or desires. Consent should be prioritized at times like these, because at the end of the
day it is up to the person if they want to indulge in sexual activity or not. The judgement of
society should go to the perpetrators who couldn’t control their desires.
