automatically each turn, but will halt if you run out of the necessary materials. The synthesis will begin
again once you replenish the materials. You can request a synthesis at any time, but you must place

up to the maximum cost that they can afford. You can also synthesize
up to 10 items at once.

Synthesis Level
If the alchemist’s level or item’s synthesis level is too low, they may not be
able to make as many items, or may fail the synthesis entirely. However,
synthesizing high-level items will allow them to earn more experience points.

Once in a while, a resident may come to you with a sudden
request. Clearing these will boost your friendship level with that
resident even further, as well as increase the production and sale
of items. However, failing the request will have a negative effect
on production and sales.

Q Town Development Hints
42
What should I do in order to develop the town...?

First of all, you need to build facilities so you can make items and sell them for profit. You'll also need to
investigate in order to obtain materials, and research items that will improve your productivity. Once your finances
are in the black, your population will start to explode!

key to developing your town.

How do I get more people to move to town?

The more support you have, the easier it will be to get people to move to Westwald. The best way to increase
your support is to keep the town profitable, so try to keep your finances in the black every week.

Population Tips

• Construct new buildings each week

• Select items based on trends and harvest potential

Q Job Performance Hints
48
How come my sales aren't going up?

Some residents just aren’t good at the jobs you’ve

assigned them, which will lead to lower production or
sales amounts than you’d like. If you get a poor
harvest, for example, you might want to focus on
something else instead. Low sales can also be the
result of a lack of personnel or items. Assign a
manager and obtain or synthesize the necessary
items to resolve this. Meanwhile, if you assign the
right people, follow trends, and improve harvests,
your sales will go through the roof!

Economic Reports menu (pg. 26).

Q Improved Facilities Hints
49
I want to make more items. How do I do it!?

If you place a character that has high compatibility,

the number of items you can sell with increase. Also if
you synthesize special construction materials, you
can build upgraded facilities, where you can hire
fairies as well as managers. This will allow you to
make and sell more items than normal facilities. Also,
be sure to assign residents which are well suited to
that type of facility to improve performance.

Q Remodeling Facilities Hints
50
It's a total pain having to reorganize everyone
whenever I build a new facility!

As the story progresses, you’ll unlock the ability to

remodel buildings, which essentially allows you to
upgrade them. This will maintain all current
assignments, so you don’t have to re-assign staff like
you would if you demolished and rebuilt a facility.
Also, keep in mind that the special effects of
landmarks and other environmental facilities only
apply to their specific district, so plan wisely when
developing new districts. Remodeling to a different
color facility will not cost anything.

sectors (build spaces). Also, you’ll open up new
districts to develop as the story progresses. Some
districts only become available after conducting
related research.

areas. If you’re able to reach the 5th route, you’ll open
up a new route, which will give you access to materials
you didn’t have before. Certain routes may also unlock
access to entirely new investigation areas.

Materials you find during investigations

can then be cultivated.

Q Battle Items Hints
54
The enemies are too strong. What else can I do?

If you’re having trouble, try using battle items! These

are extremely powerful, and don’t rely on your
characters’ levels. Also, using them doesn’t
permanently consume them, and some of them can
be further improved after reaching certain production
milestones. Of course, it’s still important to keep
leveling up your characters so they can learn new
skills. The farther a route is on an investigation, the
stronger the enemies will be, so it’s important to level
up as much as possible before attempting them.
