Paper setting instructions
1. There shall be a University examination at the end of each semester. Candidates securing not
less than the prescribed attendance in each paper, are not allowed to sit in the exam.
2. For each written paper carrying 100 marks, 40% shall be set apart for being awarded by way
of internal assessment and 60% marks for the written external examination. Internal assessment shall
be made on the basis of overall performance during the semester such as regularity of attendance,
Quiz, preparation and presentation of assignments, hourly test scoring and class room participation.
3. A candidate who is registered and is entitled to be presented for the examination in a
semester shall alone be eligible to pursue the studies for the next semester of the course.
4. Give the question based on chapter and difficulty level.
5. Do not repeat the similar question in short and in long answer type question.

Objectives
The Constitution, a living document, is said to be always in the making. The judicial process of
Constitutional interpretation involves a technique of adapting the law to meet changing social
mores. The objective of this paper is to develop the basic understanding of constitutional law to
the students.
Subject Outcome
1 Students will be able to understand and explain the distribution of powers between
Centre and the States and also about different doctrines relating to the distribution of
powers.
2 Students will have a vast understanding of different Constitutional Organs, i.e.
Legislature, Executive and Judiciary and also will be inculcated with the knowledge
of various powers and immunities of the said organs.
3 Students will also be able to understand the Amendment of the Constitution of India
and also will acquire knowledge about the emergency provisions, liability of the
State in different matters and trade relations among different States..
