OUR REDEEMER’S WOMEN

2020
JUST AS YOU
DO NOT ANALYZE THE WORDS OF
SOMEONE YOU LOVE, BUT
ACCEPT THEM AS THEY ARE
SAID TO YOU, ACCEPT THE

WORD OF
SCRIPTURE AND
PONDER IT IN YOUR
HEART.

DIETRICH BONHOEFFER
(1906-1945)
NOTES

WOMEN OF THE ELCA LOGO

“GOD’S GIFT OF HOPE” - The symbol: The rainbow springing from

the cross of Jesus Christ reminds us of God’s gift of hope, the
covenant made with all living creatures on earth.

Through the cross, we are made people of the covenant and of the
promise. Blessed by the riches of God’s grace and love, we are
called to keep hope alive, to continue to grow in faith and mission,
and to share our gifts and our hope for the world.

MISSION STATEMENT

To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ

PURPOSE STATEMENT

As a community of women created in the image of God, called to

PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we
petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one
your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything
another in our callings, engage in ministry and action and promote
coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful
what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of our life. healing and wholeness in our church, the society and the world.
