BIRDS
COCKATIEL, PARAKEET, GALAH PARROT
crochet pattern by AIRALI design
MATERIALS • DMC Natura Just Cotton yarn (100% cotton, 50g / 155m)
a small amount of yarn for each color, follow the color chart at page 3 to make a
Cockatiel, Parakeet and Galah parrot
• 2,5 mm crochet hook
• a pair of 6 mm safety eyes for each bird
• stitch markers
• sewing pins
• tapestry needle
• toy stuffing
PATTERN NOTES It is not necessary to use the recommended yarn and crochet hook to make this
amigurumi. Using a larger crochet hook, and suitable yarn, the amigurumi will be
bigger while preserving the same proportions.
The pattern is mainly worked using the “amigurumi” method: working in a continuous
spiral without closing off the round with a slst. It may help to use a stitch marker in
the last stitch of each round, moving it up as you work.
Follow the color chart at page 3 and the color guide on the left of the instruction.
CONSTRUCTION Bird’s body is worked in one piece from the top down.
All the details are sewn to the body.
