Titan Industries is the world's sixth largest wrist watch manufacturer and India's
leading producer of watches under the Titan, Fastrack, Sonata, Nebula, Octane &
Xylys brand names. It is a joint venture between one of India's most respected
business organizations, the Tata Group, and theTamil Nadu Industrial
Development Corporation (TIDCO)

 THE THREE FUNCTIONS OF HUMAN WANTS

1. UTILITY FUCTION:
A  wrist watch is a timepiece that is made to be worn on a person with a strap
or bracelet. In addition to the time, modern watches often display
the day, date, month and year, and electronic watches may have many other
functions.

2 ECONOMICAL FUNCTION:
Associated with the Indian working class, the Titan’s Sonata range
comprises of both analog and digital watches. The metal strap watches by
Sonata was a big hit with the Indian working class men. Sonata has
forayed into the plastic watch arena as well. Though the watches are of
good quality they are reasonably priced

3 PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTION:
This Function is something what we call as “Feel Good” Feeling. This
Function is related to inner satisfaction. Within Titan mother brand are
Nebula,which comes draped in 18 karat.

FOUR LEVELS.
1. CORE PRODUCT:
The product is quiet economical for the common man to use. The
core product must address the basic need- This level defines the
basic purpose of purchasing the product. In case of wrist watch the
basic function is to display correct time.

2 FORMAL PRODUCT:
People are not satisfied with the core benefit of a product or
service ,they expect addtional things. The Titan brand architecture
comprises several collection and sub−brands, each of which is a
leader in its segment. Notable among them are: Titan Edge The
world's slimmest watch which stands for the philosophy of "less is
more"; Titan Raga the feminine and sensuous accessory for today's
woman, Nebula − crafted in solid 18k gold and precious stones.
Several other popular collections like Heritage, Aviator, Regalia,
Octane & WWF also form a part of the Titan wardrobe

3 AUGMENTED PRODUCT:
Competition forces firms to offer more than the formal product.  The
company has 247 exclusive showrooms christened World of Titan',
making it amongst the largest chains in its category backed by 700
after−sales−service centers.

4. FUTURE PRODUCT:
Titan Industries, India’s largest watch manufacturer and retailer has a
world−class design studio that constantly invents new trends in wrist
watches. It has announced the launch of the one of its kind store- HELIOS
in Bangalore. HELIOS, the high end multi-brand watch chain will house
over 35 premium international watch brands. With Helios, Titan promises to
change the dynamics of premium watch retailing in India .The store will
house renowned international brands like Versace, Seiko, Movado, Hugo
Boss, Citizen, Fossil, Titan, Xylys, DKNY, Nina Ricci, Roberto Cavalli,
Esprit, Tommy Hilfiger etc.
