Write up of Success Story Previously Cheldiganipalli vegetable farmers were selling
(about 500 words) individually their produce in and around local whole sale markets They
were get less returns due to dhallari system, market commission and
huge transport charges.
In this connection, Department of Horticulture explained about
the formation and importance of FPPO's. After motivation
Cheldiganipalli farmers are farmed One FPPO in the Name of
Cheldiganipalli Horticulture farmers MACS. Department of Horticulture
provided subsidies to that group like, Vegetable seed, Pack House,
Trellis Permanent Pandals, Drip and Vending van etc.,. These group
was collecting the vegetables from the farmers and cleaning, washing,
grading done in Pack House later this produce sold directly to
consumers and getting good prices.
Now these group farmers even supplying to several institute
like, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
