Spring IOC Container Overview

The Spring IOC container is responsible for instantiating, configuring, and assembling beans. There are two types of IOC containers in Spring: the BeanFactory and ApplicationContext. The BeanFactory is the basic implementation while ApplicationContext adds more enterprise features like AOP support. The ApplicationContext can be initialized by creating an instance of the ClassPathXmlApplicationContext class.

configuration

metadata is

represented in

XML, Java

annotations, or

Java code. It lets

you express the

objects that

objects.

Beanfactory:

The BeanFactory

interface from

org.springframewor

k.beans.factory

package

provides an

advanced

configuration

mechanism

capable of

managing any type

of object. The

BeanFactory

provides the spring

configuration

Creating Spring

IOC container

BeanFactory

the implementation
class for the
BeanFactory
interface. To use

the BeanFactory,
we need to create
the instance of
XmlBeanFactory
