Running critical SAP workloads on AWS enables your customers to be more agile,
cost-effective, and secure than in an on-premises environment. AWS provides cloud-
native services that streamline the ability to adopt emerging technologies, enabling
greater innovation and faster time-to-value.
There is a seismic shift within SAP customers to consider operating SAP via cloud
solutions versus buying, maintaining, and operating on-premises systems.
7
SAP is the market leader in enterprise application software, helping organizations of
all sizes and industries track customer business interactions. SAP is considered the
system of record for manufacturing, finance, procurement, customer orders, billing,
and human resources. Generally, the SAP system is known as enterprise resource
planning (ERP).
• The company serves over 425,000 customers in more than 180 countries.
• 77% of the world’s transaction revenue touches an SAP system. Based on market
capitalization, they are the world’s third largest independent software vendor, or
ISV.
• SAP customers include 92% of the Forbes Global 2000 companies, 98% of the 100
most-valued brands, and 100% of the Dow Jones top-scoring sustainability
companies.
8
AWS offers your customers the experience and innovation to run SAP workloads in
the cloud. With more than 50% market share in public cloud solutions, the movement
to cloud presents AWS and our partners with a significant opportunity to help our
customers and grow our businesses.
Increase speed
For instance, AWS helps customers to quickly provision environments, removing the
complexity of infrastructure considerations. Customers can:
• Initiate a large, mission-critical SAP environment in under an hour and start
exploring immediately
• Adjust their AWS environments as data requirements change over time
Innovate faster
By operating SAP in the AWS Cloud, SAP customers can focus their energies on
optimally implementing and using SAP without the distraction of managing the
infrastructure itself. This frees resources, time, and energy to be applied to more
9
valuable SAP opportunities.
Reduce cost
Customers pay for only the infrastructure resources that they need and use. Benefits
include:
• Reduced costs for stable, long-term deployments, like production, that can be
locked in for three years
• Resource consumption on an hourly basis for proof-of-concept environments
• Use of current software licenses on the AWS cloud with no additional licensing
fees

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Customers in various industry segments across the world are running their SAP
workloads on AWS. Many companies have realized a spectrum of benefits, such as
simplified infrastructure management, improved time-to-market, and reduced costs.
In most cases, an existing solution has been implemented that can address your
customers’ needs.
10
AWS creates two-way doors, giving customers the ability to experiment with their
environments through proof-of-concept and performance testing.
SAP systems are generally large monolithic applications, where you don’t see a lot of
dynamic activity happening within these environments. Traditional, on-premises
infrastructure has significant hurdles in accelerating the speed in which SAP
customers can innovate. But when infrastructure is no longer a roadblock, you
remove the barriers for experimentation. Instead of a one-way door with a
prescriptive plan, AWS creates a two-way door with the ability for customers to
experiment with their environments through proof-of-concept and performance
testing.
11
AWS provides infrastructure to run SAP products in typical customer scenarios that
enables different layers of management.
On-premises/managed cloud
In this scenario, customers have been running purchased SAP products on their on-
premises infrastructure for a number of years. Through a lift-and-shift migration, they
can install their own purchased software on AWS—with their own licenses—and
manage and update the products.
SAP offers this platform as a solution (PaaS) so that customers can run the same
products as they do in their on-premises infrastructure, but SAP manages the product
12
installation and maintenance.
• Customers consume products, but SAP owns and manages the SAP account.
SaaS solutions
SAP offers SaaS-based solutions that can only be run in the cloud. These are
subscription-based services that are purchased from SAP and run on AWS.
• SAP owns the account. Customers consume products and are responsible for
configurations.

ReInvent 2018 2/21/20 7:58 AM
AWS offers your customers the experience and innovation to run SAP workloads on
the cloud. AWS accomplishes this by drawing upon its long history of supporting SAP
as a customer, which started in 2008. Since then, SAP has been using AWS
infrastructure to support its workloads. Over time, this relationship grew into a strong
partnership, forming in 2011. As a result, it promotes rapid innovation between AWS
and SAP and enables the two companies to mutually support customers in their cloud
journeys.
AWS is closely partnered with SAP to achieve a faster pace of innovation for SAP on
AWS. Their continuous collaboration has produced a broad range of possible
variations of SAP on AWS solutions deployed worldwide.
• Infrastructure: AWS was the first public cloud platform certified by SAP to run SAP
workloads, and the two companies continue to work together to certify new
infrastructure.
• Partner programs: AWS has worked to build a network of certified SAP Partners
through the AWS Competency Program. SAP Competency Partners help customers
implement, migrate, and manage SAP applications on the AWS Cloud.
This long-term collaboration has fostered new experiences and synergistic value, such
as:
18
• Lower cost and increased speed of transformation
• Reduced risk with closely developed architectures
• Additional intelligent capabilities and integrations
• Better solutions, services, and support
18
AWS and SAP work together to help your customers innovate faster and simplify their
S/4HANA journey. Take a look at some of these recent announcements.
19
Customers can provision the technical layer for SAP S/4HANA in less than three hours,
compared with a manual deployment that can take days or even weeks to complete.
19
AWS and SAP have collaborated to certify the AWS platform. It offers the widest
selection, and largest memory size, of SAP-certified, on-demand infrastructure as a
service (IaaS) for SAP HANA.
AWS is the only hyperscale solution that is certified at such large instances without
co-locating hardware.
With AWS, organizations of all sizes can provision the required infrastructure to run
up to a 14-terabyte, scale-out HANA system in less than one hour, compared to
weeks or months with other infrastructure options.
This solution has all the same cloud attributes customers have come to expect from
Amazon:
• Flexibility: Grow-as-you-go
• TCO: Savings up to 35% over typical on-premises systems
20
• Breadth: Seamless access to all AWS services
• Scale: Near infinite elastic scalability for mission-critical deployments
• Security: AWS owned and operated
• Speed: 1-hour provisioning times and 100% Software Defined
20
Instructor note: This slide and the next two slides show approximate values in bar-
chart form. The colors elude to two companies compared to AWS: blue is Microsoft
Azure and multi-colored is Google Cloud.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
AWS shows market dominance as the leader in the hyperscale cloud ecosystem for
supporting SAP workloads. Take a look at how AWS compares with competitors in
experience, technology, and breadth of services.
AWS has gained expertise by supporting thousands of customers with SAP workloads
since 2008. In addition, AWS has over 30 Partners who have attained the SAP
Competency, demonstrating their technical proficiency and proven success with SAP
applications on the AWS Cloud.
21
AWS has up to 480k SAP Application Performance Standard (SAPS), twice the
certifications of any other provider, and three times the scale-up capacity.
22
AWS is the leader in compliance certifications and security features, with 1,430
customer-driven services and features.
23
AWS has market dominance in the hyperscale cloud ecosystem for supporting
SAP workloads in which three areas?
24
Breadth of services, technology, and experience
25
In this section, you learn about the motivators that customers have for choosing an
SAP on AWS solution.
26
Most customers who choose to implement an SAP on AWS solution fall into one of
three categories: new implementations, convert and upgrade, or migrate.
New implementation
New implementations include customers who want to control their businesses, have
new subsidiaries or business units, or re-implement SAP solutions.
Customer examples:
• An existing SAP customer who has new subsidiaries or business units and wants to
deploy SAP S/4HANA
• An existing SAP customer who wants to re-implement SAP and has chosen SAP
S/4HANA
27
seeking to migrate or upgrade to current versions of SAP databases, in order to keep
SAP technically current, while using greater functionality.
Customer examples:
• An existing SAP ECC customer running a NON-SAP Database (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2)
who wants to migrate or upgrade to an SAP database, such as SAP HANA or SAP
Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE)
• An existing SAP Business Warehouse (BW) customer running a NON-SAP Database
(Oracle, MS SQL) who wants to migrate or update to SAP BW on HANA or SAP
BW/4HANA
Migrate
Customers who want to keep their existing non-SAP database “as-is” but run it on
the cloud can use a migration method often called a lift-and-shift migration.
Customer example:
• An existing SAP Business Suite (ECC) customer running a NON-SAP Database
(Oracle, MS SQL, DB2) who wants to stay as-is but run the database on the cloud
27
Customers who want to move their SAP workloads to AWS are typically looking
to…
28
…convert and upgrade existing products, migrate applications to the cloud, and try
new products.
29

Welcome to Module 2, SAP Solutions on AWS.
This module covers the offerings that SAP provides to your customers, as well as how
licensing works for SAP on AWS.
In this section, you will learn about the offerings that SAP provides to your customers.
Let’s begin by examining the current SAP products.
40
SAP provides a range of software solutions with different consumption models. These
offerings can be categorized into three general groups: ERP, Related Business
Applications, and Analytics; platform as a service (PaaS) solutions; and software as
a service (SaaS) offerings.
A large number of corporations rely on ERP for day-to-day business. Let's take a look
at how these products have evolved over the years. SAP offers a set of core software
that it continues to develop and evolve:
• SAP ERP solution (ECC or Business Suite) and its next generation, S/4HANA
• SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and its next generation, BW/4HANA
HANA (2011)
In 2011, SAP offered an in-memory data platform, SAP HANA, that enables customers
to accelerate business processes, deliver more business intelligence, and simplify
their IT environment. This foundation of services removes the burden of maintaining
separate legacy systems and siloed data. Customers can run live testing and make
better business decisions.
BW on HANA (2012)
SAP released BW on HANA as a simpler, faster, and more flexible data warehouse.
This was the first solution to run on HANA and took advantage of the in-memory
capability to provide faster responses without the need to have pre-defined “cubes.”
However, for the majority of cases, customers don’t consider this Mission Critical.
S/4HANA (2015)
The SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA provides a real-time enterprise resource
management suite for digital business. It is built on the advanced in-memory
platform, SAP HANA, and offers a personalized, consumer-grade user experience with
SAP Fiori.
BW/4HANA (2016)
SAP BW/4HANA was released to provide clients a way to collect and connect to any
data, in real time. This next-generation data warehouse is built entirely on the
advanced in-memory platform, SAP HANA. It offers enhanced data modeling and
governance, high-performance solution development, a modern user experience
(UX), and increased flexibility.
42
Customers can use platform solutions to leverage the latest cloud-native technologies
and benefit from the AWS infrastructure.
SAP has two PaaS solutions: SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) and HANA Enterprise Cloud
(HEC).
SAP Cloud Platform (SCP)
The SAP Cloud Platform, formerly known as the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, is an in-
memory, PaaS product that allows users to create and test HANA-based cloud
applications. It provides an agile PaaS for digital transformation, with comprehensive
application development services and capabilities to build an integrated and
optimized enterprise.
What is it?
In-memory platform as a service (PaaS)
What does it do?
Provides a platform for creating and testing HANA-based cloud applications
How does it help?
Helps businesses achieve agility in building an integrated and optimized enterprise
What are the benefits
Accelerates digital transformation without on-premises infrastructure
HANA Enterprise Cloud, or HEC, is a fully scalable and secure private managed cloud
solution provides the full value of SAP HANA in the cloud while accelerating growth
through innovation, driving digital transformation, and rapidly delivering business
outcomes
It provides production availability that spans the entire application and infrastructure
stack, a full menu of functional and technical services, and the control you’d expect
on premise – in one privately managed environment.
HEC is an adaptable, scalable operating model that requires less time and cost to go
live.
SAP offers a variety of SaaS solutions for all business processes, industries, and
company sizes.
SAP SaaS solutions help customers to:
• Rapidly adopt the latest SAP technologies and solutions
• Integrate with other SaaS and on-premises products
• Extend SAP cloud software with third-party apps
• Reduce costs and simplify IT
AWS and SAP have worked closely together to ensure that the SAP solutions here are fully
supported by SAP for production deployment on the AWS Cloud. Some of these applications
run on AWS, such as SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Concur. AWS continues to collaborate with
SAP to transition more SAP SaaS applications to run on AWS.
Note: The marketing and sale of SaaS solutions are SAP independent activities.
• To find out which SAP solutions are certified to run in production on AWS, see SAP
solutions on AWS on https://aws.amazon.com/sap/solutions
• For the most up-to-date list of certified applications, see SAP Note 1656099 (requires SAP
Service Marketplace credentials) on https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1656099
Connect the SAP product on the left with its description.
48
Now that you are familiar with the available SAP offerings and the SAP field structure,
examine how SAP licensing is handled for SAP on AWS solutions.
49
Typically, SAP customers have made significant investments into SAP licenses. So, it naturally
follows that licensing is an important issue for customers. Take a closer look at how SAP on
AWS interacts with existing and new SAP licenses.
• Primary model for most SAP applications and database products on AWS
• Customers can bring existing SAP licenses to AWS
• Some SAP solutions are available on AWS with on-demand, free trial, and free developer
licenses
• Some SAP products are sold on the AWS Marketplace with pay-as-you-go licensing
51
AWS Support provides 24x7 one-on-one technical support. Customers can choose a tier that
meets their requirements.
Note: All AWS SAP Partners get support user IDs for viewing SAP notes in the SAP
Service Marketplace.
Which of the following statements are true for SAP licensing on AWS?
53
• SAP customers can use existing SAP licenses on AWS.
• Operating system licenses are included in the hourly prices of an Amazon EC2
instance.
• Database licensing uses the BYOL model.
54
In this module, you explored
these concepts:
55
Welcome to Module 3, SAP on AWS Opportunities.
In Module 2, you learned about what SAP provides to your customers. In this module,
you will learn how to effectively provide your customers with the information they
need to select the best options for implementing SAP on AWS solutions for their
companies.
In this section, you will learn how to identify typical areas of opportunity for SAP
customers to move to AWS.
59
Typically, customers focus on cost savings as a primary driver for cloud migration.
While cost is important, several other factors should also be emphasized in your
customer conversations about the business value for SAP on AWS.
Understanding your customer scenario is critical. A customer can fit into more than
one scenario, so it’s essential to ask qualifying questions to gather information and
discover opportunities.
Many opportunities exist for marketing SAP on AWS. Take a look at three possible
scenarios that can help you engage in conversations with your customers. The
scenario you use will depend upon the needs and characteristics of the customer.
Transforming the enterprise: When a business needs to cut costs, and infrastructure
is at the top of the list.
61
There are two common scenarios that drive SAP customers to use a new product.
• SAP releases a new product: When SAP releases a new product, customers have
the same infrastructure problems, where they need to upgrade their hardware in
order to try the new product.
In both cases, AWS can take infrastructure out of the equation. Instead of increasing
costs with hardware upgrades, customers can run their SAP workloads on AWS.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi96WrxASgo
Solution
• Bristol Myers Squibb used AWS to build a secure, self-provisioning portal for
hosting research so scientists can run clinical trial simulations on-demand while
Bristol Myers Squibb is able to establish rules that keep compute costs low.
Benefits
• Compute-intensive clinical trial simulations that previously took 60 hours are
finished in only 1.2 hours on the AWS Cloud.
• Running simulations 98% faster has led to more efficient and less costly clinical
trials and better conditions for patients.
On average, SAP customers refresh their hardware every three to five years. With
millions of transactions processed a day, systems and databases slow down as they
grow. Customers need new servers, storage, and networking equipment to meet the
demand.
It is essential to understand where a customer is on their SAP roadmap, and when the
next hardware refresh is possible. Rather than spending that money to refresh
hardware, you have the opportunity to position a move to AWS.

Seaco Global Ltd. is the world’s largest sea-container leasing company, with assets of
more than $6 billion.
Case study: https://aws.amazon.com/solutions/case-studies/seaco/
Challenge
Seaco had been hosting specific SAP applications—including SAP Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP), SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM), SAP Business
Warehouse (BW), SAP Process Integration (PI), SAP Portal, SAP Gateway, SAP Content
Server, and SAP Solution Manager—in two traditional data centers in the United
Kingdom. The infrastructure in these data centers was old and slow, and outages were
causing headaches for the business.
Solution
SAP environment runs Amazon EC2 instances along with the following services:
• Amazon S3 for object storage and Amazon Glacier for data archiving and online
backup
• Amazon EBS for persistent block level storage volumes, offering the consistent and
low-latency performance needed to run Seaco’s workloads
• Amazon VPC to connect multiple VPCs, which are separated for security and
performance improvements.
• AWS Direct Connect to create dedicated connections between its headquarters in
Singapore and its other offices
• Amazon IAM to securely control access to AWS services and resources
• Amazon CloudWatch to monitor its cloud resources and AWS CloudTrail to track
changes made to the network
Benefits
• Saved more than 50 percent in IT infrastructure and maintenance costs, while
obtaining greater business flexibility
• Reduced the billing process to less than one day—a time savings of more than 75
percent
• Quickly scale capacity both up and down as its computing requirements change
• Disaster recovery in less than one day, down from one week
67
When a company's finance department looks to identify areas for cost savings, on-
premises infrastructure costs stand out as a large expense. But an opportunity exists
where you can help your customers build a case for moving to the cloud, and inform
their finance department on how costs can be optimized. On-premises infrastructure
costs are only a fraction of the SAP operating cost.
For example, customers can run SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP analytical
solutions, and other SAP solutions and databases on AWS. A business case for moving
SAP to AWS can include the following benefits:

In this section, you will learn how customers can innovate with the Extend Strategy
for SAP on AWS.
84
Process efficiency, agility, and reduced costs are tangible benefits that result from
cloud migrations. But infrastructure migration is often only the first step in customer
business transformations. A more compelling reason for customers to move to AWS is
the infinite opportunities that AWS can provide them in extending business
capabilities.
The Extend Strategy is suitable for existing SAP on AWS customers who want to drive
business transformations by extending and integrating SAP business processes with
big data and analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), apps and APIs, DevOps, and machine
learning.
85
Faster innovation: Using AWS higher level APIs and managed services in the areas of
IoT, Data & Analytics and Machine Learning, customers can innovate at start-up speed
without having to worry about costly infrastructure supporting SAP applications.
Scalability and elasticity: Customers can break the monolithic SAP applications in to
highly scalable micro-services using AWS.
Lower cost: Customers can lower cost of operations by automating mundane manual
SAP application maintenance activities.
Customer examples:
• Sumitomo Chemical is already innovating fast by building several proof-of-concept
(Poc) tests in the areas of Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and
robotic process automation (RPA). Moving their SAP workloads to AWS has freed
resources to focus on innovations that matter to their business.
• Zalora uses AWS to refresh their SAP S/4HANA environment in a serverless
manner. This automation has helped them reduce their SAP system refresh time
from five to two days and improve SAP system refresh quality.
86
You can introduce the Extend Strategy for SAP when customers need help with
integrating their SAP applications natively with AWS. When customers want to know
more about AWS next-generation services, you should connect them to SAP
integration experts.
We see customers working to realize their own business transformations by focusing
on four pillars:
• Apps and APIs
• Internet of Things (IoT)
• Big data and analytics
• DevOps
All of these focus areas are supported by a strong foundation of machine learning and
compute services on AWS. Many of these solutions themselves can be built directly
on AWS or by using SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), which is available in four AWS Regions
around the globe.
APIs provide an agile, flexible, secure, and scalable layer for integrating various
business applications and providing an easy-to-consume service for all your
customers’ user interface and integration needs.
It is use for:
• Voice-enabled applications
• Chatbots
• IoT devices
• Augmented reality and virtual reality apps
IoT is a system of ubiquitous devices connecting the
physical world to the cloud. AWS has services that
help customers collect and send data to the cloud,
load and analyze that information, and manage
devices.
It is used for:
• Product and process optimization
• Predictive maintenance
• Wellness and health solutions

Productive conversations with your customers should yield insights into their current
SAP landscape and future roadmap. Using this information will help identify
opportunities for SAP on AWS solutions for that customer and also provide leads for
other potential customers.
Upgrade products
Many companies have realized a spectrum of benefits from running their SAP
workloads on AWS, such as simplified infrastructure management, improved time-to-
market, and reduced costs. To accomplish these results, AWS provides a reliable and
secure cloud infrastructure platform that enables businesses to quickly deploy SAP
solutions in the cloud.
Optimize costs
On-premises SAP installations need large internal teams, can take significant effort to
upgrade, and are sized to support peak volumes, resulting in day-to-day underuse of
infrastructure support and investment. Cloud systems cost less, iterate faster, and
scale automatically. Customers can reduce their overall SAP infrastructure cost by 30
99
percent—at a minimum.
99
In this section, you will look at some conversations that you might have with
customers while discussing SAP on AWS solutions. The three areas of focus are
upgrading products, optimizing costs, and extending services with AWS.

101
Lampros Strategies is a cutting-edge environmental technology company that
develops novel approaches to delivering sustainable energy with average revenue of
about $800 million per year. The company currently runs SAP Business Suite on-
premises. The Chief Information Officer Charles Clark, is planning to upgrade systems
in the future.
Your goal is to help Charles understand possible cost effective solutions for upgrading
his systems.
102
(Instructor note: Use this slide and the next two slides to discuss potential customer
questions about upgrading to S/4HANA. Suggest responses that help to discover what
the customer needs are.)
You finally have the opportunity to meet with Charles Clark, the CIO of Lampros
Strategies. He is interested in the options that SAP on AWS can offer his division.
You: What SAP products are you running today? What are your plans for the future?
Charles: We are currently running SAP Business Suite on HANA on-premises, but we
are looking to upgrade to S/4HANA in the next 6 to 12 months.
You: Are you aware that S/4HANA runs on AWS? We are certified to run S/4HANA in
configurations as large as 48 TB today.
103
Charles: I wasn’t. Why would I want to run my SAP workloads on AWS?
103
You: We have the experience of working with thousands of customers who run SAP
workloads on AWS. In addition, the AWS Cloud is designed and built for redundancy
and reliability.
You: We have programs in place that will help guide you through the upgrade process
and check that you meet the technical requirements.
You: Yes, AWS has a Quick Start for SAP HANA for deploying fully functional SAP
HANA systems on the AWS Cloud, following best practices from AWS and SAP.
104
You: Would you be interested in AWS helping with an S/4HANA proof of concept
(POC), so you can try the AWS platform?
You: You can move quickly in your S/4HANA POC and deployment, and you wouldn’t
need to wait to provision infrastructure, nor would you need to make long-term
infrastructure investments for that workload.
105
The key points of this section are:
• The customer should know that SAP can run on AWS and that S/4HANA is
supported on AWS.
• Instead of buying or refreshing on-premises environment for SAP Business Suite
on HANA, the customer can go to AWS directly.
• AWS can support the customer in a POC migration.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Zargas, Inc. is a clothing company that has roughly
1,500 employees and exceeds $2 billion in revenues annually. The company currently
runs SAP ECC on Oracle on-premises, but regularly reviews its technology solutions
and has identified SAP HANA as the future database to run the SAP system. Zargas is
now struggling with validating the value and creating a business case to get the
necessary approval.
Your goal is to identify opportunities to optimize cost and improve their IT landscape
for better performance.
109
(Instructor note: Use this slide and the next slide to discuss potential customer
questions about optimizing cost. Suggest responses that help to discover what the
customer needs are.)
You: Which SAP workloads are you running today, and what are your organizational
goals for 2019?
Tony: We are running ECC on Oracle, on-premises, and have goals to cut our
infrastructure costs by 20 percent this year.
110
You: Are you aware that AWS and SAP have a program to do test productions in
AWS that run SAP ECC on HANA in less than 48 hours? This can help you build a
business case and identify any challenges.
Tony: That sounds promising! Let's talk through what is involved in evaluating an SAP
on AWS solution for Zargas, Inc.
You: As a next step, I will bring our SAP on AWS team to have a more detailed
conversation with your team. Either AWS ProServe or your preferred SAP on AWS
Partner can help with the execution.
111
The key points of this section are:
You asked great follow-up questions and provided strong supporting statements. You
directly addressed the customer's expressed need and offered added value in cost-
sensitive, scalable performance.

AnyCompany is a biopharmaceutical company that develops patient treatments, with
average revenue of about $550 million per year. The company is already running SAP
workloads on AWS and wants to see more value from integrations with next-
generation services.
Your goal is to introduce the SAP Extend offering and connect the CEO, Martha Rivera,
with SAP solutions architecture teams in the relevant next-generation services.
115
(Instructor note: Use this slide to discuss potential customer questions about
extending with AWS. Suggest responses that help to discover what the customer
needs are.)
You: I see you have been running your SAP workloads on AWS for two years. How is
that going?
Martha: Good. Our infrastructure costs are down 30 percent, and we can scale up
resources to accommodate our data experiments. But I think we could do more.
Martha: Our scientists need to be able to run simulations instead of arranging clinical
trials with participants. We need a faster turnaround.
116
You: It sounds like you're ready to integrate your SAP applications with AWS services.
Let me connect you with our SAP integration experts.
116
The key points of this section are:
After the cloud adoption phase is successful, customers look for new ways to
innovate that allow for more experimentation. AWS provides customers with the
