EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR CASAN CUTS

OUR MISSION.

Casan cuts offers premium service to males and females who may need
a nice haircut and grooming at any time.
Our team will ensure that all clients get nothing but the best.

THE COMPANY AND MANAGEMENT

Casan cuts will be headquartered in the city of Awka and will be solely
owned by Nweke Chioma C.
The staff will comprise of the best hands who will give our clients the
very best.

OUR SERVICES
Our clients are males and females who will at a point or another require
premium haircut at a fraction of the price.
THE MARKET
Across Awka, its no news that the majority of the population need nice
haircuts at comfortable establishments.
We will have what they need and they will come to us.
OUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
All our services will be rendered by professionals and our services will
be top notch yet at a fraction of the price.

THE INDUSTRY OVERVIEW

According to Google statistics based on the 2006 Nigerian population
census, Awka has an estimated population of three hundred and one
thousand people of which we can agree that the figure have greatly
increased if not double over time.
The haircut industry in Awka is valued at N180 million naira per year.
This figure reflects in the ever increasing demand for haircuts by males
of all ages including some females too.
More and more people have this demand for quality haircuts in standard
and comfortable establishments and because people want the best for
their hair and their looks in general.
Across Awka, the haircut business has seen an explosion of growth over
the last 5 years.
OUR POSITION IN THE INDUSTRY.
Awka as a town is of average but there’s no doubt that the people want
and demand premium service especially when it comes to having
haircuts.
Our market research shows that 9 out of 10 people can easily have
accessible location and a comfortable place for haircut, its both relaxing
and exciting for them.

THE COMPETITION
It will be a big lie if I say there’s no competition as there’s hundreds of
barber shops located in different corners of Awka town of which only
few offer standard services at neck breaking prices.
Presently, there’s no company dominating the market. This may be
because of the way of life of the residents, the cost of the service or the
lackadaisical approach of owners of these barber shops.

WHAT MAKES CASAN UNIQUE

Casan’s marketing strategy will be to emphasize on the quality of
services we deliver.
Even though our services will top notch, it will be at a fraction of what is
charged elsewhere.
Our staff will be professionals with proven records who will also
contribute to our growth by bringing their own loyal clients.
SALES AND MARKETING PLAN
In every industry especially the haircut industry, the sales and marketing
plan is very important and it is the determining factor as to how many
clients return and how many new clients a business is able to get.
At Casan, we will focus on delivering top notch services to all clients at
a fraction of the price.
Customers and clients will be able to enjoy standard and premium
services at the same price as other below standard barber shops and
while getting groomed, they are also relaxed.
Our unique selling proposition is “The best for less”, this sets us apart
from the competition.

PRICING STRATEGY
In every business or establishment, pricing has always been an important
factor. If its too low, the clients will undervalue the service and if the
price is too high, it will scare clients away.
Having considered this, Casan will stick to charging N300 naira like the
below standard barber shops and there are reasons for this.
Awka is and for some time will remain a growing town, there is a
sizeable population of young men and teenagers who will rather go for a
premium haircut in a standard establishment but the pricing in those
places pose as a discouraging factor.
ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION PLAN
Advertising is also a very important factor in every business and it plays
its own vital role too.
Advertising helps reach the targeted audience who might not know
about the establishment or the services rendered.
In advertising, we will use the internet which includes social media
campaigns and our website, flyer delivery and flex banners.
Through these means of advertising, over 60,000 residents in Awka can
be reached and its relatively cheap.
OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT PLAN
THE OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE
Casan as a sole proprietorship will be owned and managed by one
person, Nweke Chioma C.
I will oversee the complete running and management of the business.

INTERNAL MANAGEMENT TEAM

The internal management team consists of two categories, the fixed staff
which is the receptionist/cashier and the contract staff which is the
barbers.
The fixed staff will be placed on a fixed monthly stipend while the
contract staff will receive a percentage of whatever they make.
FINANCIAL PLAN
For Casan to begin full operations, a total investment of N2.5 million
naira will be needed.
The investment will cover cost of the office space, equipments needed,
standby power generating set and licensing/trade union dues.

INCOME STATEMENT
If the total investment is facilitated, Casan will be able to serve a total of
1200 clients monthly for the first four months which will be a total
revenue of N360,000 naira monthly.
N200,000 naira will go for expenses like salary for staff, electricity bill,
diesel for generators and funds for promotions which will leave us at a
monthly profit of N160,000 naira.
At this rate, the initial investment will be paid off within two years.
It should also be considered that the business is bound to grow which
will contribute to monthly profit.
LOAN REPAYMENT PLAN.
Casan will repay the loan in the following way.
We will pay N150,000 naira monthly for 24 months which is total of
N3.6 million naira.
We will also ask for a moratorium period of four months to set up the
business and start up.
