Title of the text: Treasure Island
Author: Robert Louis Stevenson
Two events that took place during the life of the author.
1) He was originally baptized as Robert Lawes Balfour, but when he was twenty years old,
his father had him changed the name Lawes to the French version Louis to avoid
associations with a radical politician of the same name.
2) After a bronchitis he ended his regular school attendance and began receiving private
lessons.

Two other things written by this author.

1) Dr. Jeykill y Mr. Hyde

CONNECTING THIS STORY TO MY OWN LIFE.
(Sometimes when we are reading, the story makes us think about other aspects, example: personal events, situations
around, other books, the news, etc. think of those connections by answering the prompt).

While reading this story, specifically chapter 2, I related it intimately with the life of the
human being, volatile, difficult and unpredictable, the question is not knowing how to give
up.
I think this aspect is posed in this way because he wants to show the reader in a didactic
and different way how to deal with the problems and they are already responsible for
interpreting the story in their own way.

Another CONNECTION I could think of is….

Another connection that I can relate and that left me teaching is to fight until the end,
not give up and face adversities with push and straightness, without going over anyone,
that is the key.

CONNECTING WITH THE CHARACTERS

(Characters are fundamental in stories. It is time for you to start observing and analyzing them. Follow the instructions).
✓ Is there any character that you consider your favorite?
Yes, Jim Hawkins
✓ What aspects are the ones that you like about the character?
his kindness to the admiral, his confidence and his welcome even though he didn't know
him
✓ Why?
because they are aspects that very few people have but that we should all have
✓ What traits could you change from this character? Is this character similar to real
people?
It is good to be kind and want to collaborate, but it would change the ingenuity that was
shown at the beginning, since he received this unknown man without making sure what
was happening.
I think this character does not look very much like real people, because as I mentioned
earlier, their characteristics are very different from those of the vast majority of people.
✓ Why?
because nobody is so kind, everyone is very cautious and only thinks about personal gain
Based on all the things I have written about the selected personage, here it is my
character´s portray. (Dare to draw or paste how you visualize the selected character).

evident all kinds of circumstances that if analyzed in a deeper way is what we live day by
day. When you read this story keep in mind not to take it so literal, let your mind fly!

WRITING DOWN MY FEELINGS

My first impression when I began to read the beginning of this story was taken in a very
sarcastic way, I did not want to read it and I thought that I would not like it, in addition,
when I got to the part that all the pirates faced I felt confused and I was still bored, but at
the end of the story, it changed my perspective, because I decided not to take the story so
literal and began to relate it to my life, that helped me immensely and motivated me to
continue reading until I liked it

CONNECTING THIS SHORT STORY TO MY OWN LIFE.

(Sometimes when we are reading, the story makes us think about other aspects, example: personal events, situations

While reading this story, I really wanted to give up reading it, but as the prose went on, I
became more engaged with the story and began to relate it to my life.
I think this aspect was fundamental because it allowed me to get more hooked on the
story and also made me appreciate it.
