ICT Infrastructure Certification focuses on both the hardware and software components of ICT infrastructure and provides
certifications in 11 technical fields: Data Center, Storage, Intelligent Computing, Routing & Switching, WLAN, Security, SDN,
Transmission, Access, LTE, and 5G. Those successful in attaining ICT Infrastructure Certification will be able to demonstrate
knowledge of ICT infrastructure planning, construction, and maintenance.
Platform and Service Certification focuses on new ICT such as AI, IoT, and Cloud and provides certifications in six technical fields:
Cloud Computing, Cloud Service, Big Data, AI, IoT, and Enterprise Communication. Achieving the Platform and Service Certification
signifies that the certificate holder is capable of integrating business, technologies, and applications. Furthermore, they will be

Exam rescheduling/cancellation: Exams must be rescheduled or canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

exam by the scheduled start time. You can reschedule or cancel an appointment by:

• Arrive at your designated test center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This time is needed to
complete the necessary sign-in procedures. If you are more than 15 minutes late to an exam, you may be refused admission
and your exams fees will not be refunded.
• Bring two valid photo identity documents (photocopies are not accepted). For more information, click Pearson VUE Identity

• Personal items are not allowed in the testing rooms. This includes but is not limited to all bags, books not authorized by the
sponsor, notes, phones, pagers, watches, and wallets.

HCIP-Access certification is targeted at Huawei Access network senior engineer and ICT personnel who want to learn the
advanced knowledge of access network.

Recertification Information
With the advances of ICT technologies, Huawei certification content will be updated and optimized irregularly. Recertification can
renew the validity of a certificate, and ensure that certification complies with the latest development trend of ICT technologies.
To ensure that the professional capabilities of certified personnel match the latest trends in the ICT field in real time,
recertification requirements are implemented. For details about the recertification rules, see the following explanations.
If the certificate holder does not participate in recertification before the certificate expires, the certificate will become invalid. To
make the certificate valid again, the certificate holder must participate in the corresponding certification exam.

Recertification Rule
Huawei certification consists of three technical domain: ICT infrastructure certification, platform and service certification, and ICT
vertical certification.
Examinees can update the validity date of the certificate in any of the following cases before the certificate expires:
• Participate and pass any exam of the higher level certification which from the same technical direction of the current
certification.
• Participate and pass any exam of the same or higher level certification which from the same technical domain of the current
certification.
Validity Period Extension Rule

Associate level and professional Level: If recertification is successful within a certificate's three-year validity period, the certificate
validity period will be extended by three years after the exam result release date.
Expert level: If recertification is successful within a certificate's two-year validity period, the certificate validity period will be
extended by two years after the exam result release date. If recertification is successful within a certificate's one-year buffer
period, the certificate validity period will be extended by two years after the original expiration date.
