Systematic Sampling

Definition:

- Is a random sampling technique in which a list of elements of the

population is used as a sampling frame and the elements to be included
in the desired sample are selected by skipping through the list at regular
intervals.

Method:
- Arrange randomly the total number of students in the prepared sampling frame.
- Assign each student a number from 1 – 42.
- Find the sampling interval k by using the formula: K = N/n –> K = 42/15 = 2.8 -> 3.
- Choose a selected random number-> (3).
- Select every 3rd student from the sampling frame starting from the 3 rd student.

Cluster Sampling

Cluster sampling is used in statistics

when natural groups are present in a
population.
1. The population is divided into clusters,
in this case, by house.
2. Two houses were selected from the
clusters which must contain 15
students.

very close with the mean, variance, standard
deviation of population mean and that
technique is the cluster random sampling.
