A site visit to Universiti Malaysia Perlis convocational hall was organized on 25
October 2019 by Dr Salwa Mohd Zaini Makhtar. All the safety precautions was gave by the lecturer such as wearing safety helmet and safety shoes. Based on the plan, all the students of EAT357 gathered at station bus at Kolej Kediaman Tan Sri Aishah Ghani around 8:00am to take a bus to go the convocational hall. We arrived at the convocational hall at 8:30am, then we gathered at the site cabin to meeting with the people in charge of guiding us, a short brief about the project was given by contractor and safety health officer of the convocational hall project. After that, we started the tour around the site.
The project that we visited is located at Universiti Malaysia Perlis campus Pauh Putra. This convocational hall started at 30 October 2017 and expected to be completed by September 2019 but this project delayed about 70 days because not enough worker and will complete by February 2020. This project cost approximately RM26.5 Million. The size of this convocational hall is around 50m x 60m and can enter 3000-4000 capacity. The height of this convocational hall is 22m. This project have complete 60% and 40% is not complete. This project use 95% conventional system and 5% IBS system. DETAILS OF CONTRACT:
