Customer Experience Checklist

Gaining positive customer experience is a challenging task that involves businesses in analyzing behaviors of their
clients and improving their service. Read this Customer Experience Action Plan to learn how to solve this task in 4

1. Review Target Audience.


 Analyze your target customers to understand whether their needs and preferences have been changed over
time
 Review your sales business plan to see if you can meet current customer needs and demands
 Measure customer service effectiveness to check how many satisfied customers there are and how closely
their needs and demands are met
 Estimate customer service costs to determine if your business can invest more in creating positive customer
experience
 Think how your products can be differentiated in the market by target customers
 Check how well your products are aligned with market trends
 Figure out how successful your renewal, up-sell and cross-sell campaigns are
 Analyze your pricing policy to understand how much volatility can be applied to product prices

2. Improve Customer Relationship Management.


 Analyze and audit services your company offers
 Find any weak links or gaps in the service chain
 Collect feedback from your current clients to understand what customer issues need to be solved
 Consider inviting loyal customers to act as external advisors to your business
 Review current sales transactions to see what issues remain outstanding
 Hold meetings with your sales personnel to discuss possible improvement solutions and resolve customer
conflicts
 Engage the team in applying the solutions
 Establish key metrics for monitoring how the solutions are applied
 Understand your firm’s financial performance (profit margins, sales revenue, cash flow) after the solution
are applied
 Consider conducting additional customer surveys to see if your improvements work fine

3. Provide Incentives to Customers.


 Discounts: Let your buyers know you offer a price reduction
 Free offers: Inform your current and prospective customers about giveaways and free products
 Limited-time offers: Enjoy positive customer experience through offering products at special prices for a
limited period (e.g. monthly special offers)
 Gift cards: Allow your patrons to purchase your products at special prices
 Loyalty programs: Thank repeat buyers for their purchases by providing special offerings
 Appreciation: Write simple "thank you" notes to let your clients know about how you value their loyalty

4. Engage Salespeople.
 Establish and continuously improve the corporate culture in your company
 Hire the kindest and most charismatic individuals who will lead sales and generate positive customer
experience
 Be sure your workers are proud of their employement
 Consider improving performance of front-line employees
 Provide training and development opportunities
 Use a winning compensation plan (fixed salary + commission rate) to stimulate salespeople for generating
higher sales revenues
 Add fun to the working environment to make routine operations and daily tasks much smoother and easier
 Give special rewards and incentives to your sales team for their contribution to more encouraged and
happier customers
 Consider organizing corporate celebrations dedicated to some great results achieved in sales.
