CHAPTER-5

CONCLUSION :
After preparing this project, the researcher came to know about various aspects
regarding the Ikshvaku dynasty. As per the sources available, we can say that
administration was quite good and well functioning. People were peace loving and
very cooperative towards each other. Taxation system was also there and people
used to pay taxes at regular interval. The kings were very supportive in nature and
they were always ready to help people.

However there
were certain rules and regulations which one was bound to follow. If any violation
of these rules and regulations happened, then punishment was given or other
penalties were imposed on the wrongdoer. This dynasty had some of the very
famous and great rulers like Manu, Ikshvaku, Bhagiratha, Raghu, Dasratha, Ram,
Suddhodan, etc. It is said that it was King Bhagiratha who succeded in bringing
down the river Ganges from heaven to earth. The King Ram doesn’t need an
introduction as he is considered the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu and is
worshipped by every Hindu. So, we can find that, this dynasty is one of the most
important dynasties and we can refer to its ideologies to make our administration
better.
