Scope of Work
SCOPE OF Work FOR
THREE PHASE SEPARATOR PAKAGES

1. This specification covers the minimum requirements governing the design, materials, fabrication,
inspection, testing, painting and preparation for shipment, complete with internal equipment, spare
parts and Vendor Data.

2. This specification and referenced documents listed are not intended to be all-inclusive. The
requirements set forth do not relieve Vendor of his responsibility to perform all services in a safe
manner, to meet applicable codes and standards, to comply with government regulations or to supply a
product capable of performing its intended service.

3. CODES AND COMPANY SPECIFICATIONS

The requirements and recommendations of the latest revisions of the following listed codes, standards,
COMPANY's general specifications and project documents shall apply -

Supplier’s Proposal shall clearly state and list exceptions to this specification and all referenced codes
and standards. In the event of any conflict arising between this specification and other documents listed
herein, refer comments to Company / Contractor for clarification before design or fabrication
commences for resolution.
4. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A. This tender will be for new skid mounted three-phase Horizontal Separators equipment and Gas
Scrubber with all accessories and vessel internals needed to operate this equipment.
B. All pressure vessels shall be U stamped, fabricated and tested in accordance to the ASME code
(Hydro test, PWHT, NDE, etc...)
C. Company reserves the right to have a 3rd party inspector verifies the condition of the offered
equipment.
D. All must be included (inlet diverter, Vortex breakers on both Oil & Water outlets, Sand ban, Mist
Extractor, Sacrificial anodes).
E. Instrument air is supplied by others at the skid battery limits and the package control system is
required to be fully pneumatic. Consequently, the following criteria apply
1) The project doesn’t entail any electrical cable, junction boxes and related material
2) All instruments have local reading only
3) All flow meters are battery operated.
4) All level & pressure controls, dump valves shall be pneumatically operated, and will have
throttling control, rather than snap acting.
F. All accessories needed to operate this equipment shall be included, i.e. relief valves, level controls,
pressure control valves.
G. All control valves should be equipped with up and down stream drain valve (all drain valves
connected together on one line ended by one flange on skid boundary).
H. Flow meters up stream/downstream straight pipe requirement should be considered. (Flow
conditioner or straitening vanes).
I. Level bridles should be heat traced.
J. Two years’ worth of spare parts for each piece of equipment should be shown as a separate item,
Spare parts for commissioning and start up
K. All flanged connections to have appropriate pressure rating and
L. Companion flanges included along with nuts, bolts and gaskets.

M. UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
Regardless of the units used by the Company in stating the requirements or providing information,
the Contractor shall present all calculations, documents and drawings in accordance with the
following table for the entire project

5. DESIGN CONDITIONS

B. Could handle Design and working parameters with 10% over design margin shall be added for
liquid & gas flow.
C. The gas associated with this oil production has no H2s, but has 2-5% CO2, the oil specific gravity
is 25-50 deg. API, and the water gravity is 1.07. The oil is approximately 15% paraffin.
D. Unit mounted on a structural steel skid with ladder, platforms, saddles, lifting lugs, enclosures, etc.
E. The structural steel skid shall be designed for a four or six-point lift without a sustaining permanent
deflection
F. Instrument air header should be provided with valves and plugged spare connection (recommended
to add air drier on skid mounted)
G. Instrument air quality (rate, pressure, etc…) specification for EAS procurement reference.
H. Surface Preparation & painting should be complying with the nature of the Produced fluid (oil,
water & gas), Operating condition & the meteorological conditions.
I. All the instrumentations and devices should be suitable for hazardous area classifications class I,
Div. II, and IP 65, T3, EEXD enclosures.
J. Level control valves and controls shall be sized so that vessel can operate at low pressures so that
the full liquid capacity of the vessel can be utilized at low pressures.
K. Gas pressure control valve (PIC & PCV) fail to open (air to close) & Gas totalizer with a bypass
line on each one. Gas to flare line. another pressure control loop (PIC & PCV fail to close) in
parallel to the existing Gas to Process line.
L. Level measurement for control of interface level and oil level shall use displacers mounted in
bridal. Sight glass shall cover full range of bridal. A separate bridal shall be used for purposes of
LAHH signal generation.

6. Suggested Accessories as below -

A. Level Control Valves (Recommended to Fisher) for both Oil & Water Outlets with a bypass on
each one.
B. Oil & Water turbine Flow meter (be No flu) with a bypass on each one (recommended to install
three flow turbines on each one with different ranges to cover rate from 50 to 10000 BPD).
C. Y (Basket) strainer up stream (inlet Separator, Oil Flow meter & Water Flow meter).
D. Gas pressure control valve & Gas totalizer (Senior orifice meter) with a bypass line on each one.
E. Sight Glass for oil section & Water Section.
F. Inlet ESD valve (which will have activated by LSHH &/or PSHH), with an equalizing line. Another
ESD should be located on the bypass line which will have a reverse action to the main inlet one.
G. Installing local audio alarm device to be activated in case of ESD or carry over.
H. Dual Pressure Safety Relief Valve.
I. Check valves at the outlets (Water, Oil & Gas)
J. Air header with isolation and drain valves.
K. The following units of measurement and display shall be used but may be modified to comply with
existing site practices.

7. Suggested Nozzles as below -

A. Inlet c/w 90° internal inlet diverter elbow, Gas c/w demister pad & support or mist extractor, Water
& Oil outlets c/w Vortex Breaker.
B. Drain Nozzles.
C. Clean out Nozzles.
D. Vent c/w Blind Flange/Davit/Gasket/Bolting
E. Temperature (transmitter, Indicator).
F. Pressure (transmitter, Indicator).
G. Level Bridles (LSLL, LSHH, LG, LT).
H. PSV Outlet.
I. Manway c/w Blind Flange/Davit/Gasket/Bolting.

8. internals of each separator Shall be composed as listed hereafter, with dimensions & locations -
A. One inlet device” inlet diverter”, composed by a 90°LR elbow, directed to the head internal surface
and welded to the internal extension of the feed inlet nozzle.
B. One calming baffle
C. One Fixed weir.
D. Two vortex breakers located on oil and water outlet nozzles respectively.
E. One SS demister c/w carbon steel case in correspondence of gas outlet nozzle.
F. The vessel shall be equipped with suitable anodes, to be installed inside the vessel.
G. The vessel shall be equipped with two pressure safety valves, conventional type, designed for total
block discharge case, complete with upstream/downstream full-bore isolation manual ball valves
and bypass for manual vent.
H. Each vessel should be having the internal anodes (cathode protection) with 20 lifetimes
9. The following documents should be included in the manufacturer data book

D. Welding procedure specification (WPS)& procedure qualification record (PQR)

AA. Installation, operation, and maintenance manuals for all instruments (should be included spare
parts list with complete specifications for each part).

10. Warranty -

Material and equipment supplied within shall be covered by 18 months guarantee – calculated from the
delivery of the equipment C&F Alexandria or 12 months from commissioning (whichever comes
earlier) - Against defects provided the Client acknowledges in written the defects within one month
from receipt of the goods at Alexandria port. In such case,
