GOAL: Your task is to sing and perform selected songs from Medieval and Renaissance periods.

ROLE: You are the choral artists/singers who will sing sacred and secular music of the Medieval and Renaissance periods.

AUDIENCE: Your audience are the residents of Barangay BF, Homes.

SITUATION: There will be a weeklong Western Music Concert to be launched by the BF Homes Barangay Council – Sub commission
on Culture and the Arts. The dates of the concert will be from August 17 - 21, 2015 at the Village Sports Club of Barangay BF
Homes. The concert aims to showcase the different musical compositions of the Medieval and Renaissance periods.

PRODUCT: You will perform two vocal music compositions of any known Medieval and Renaissance composers. You need to consider
the following.
a. The class will be divided into 5 groups and each group will perform two vocal music from Medieval and Renaissance
periods.
b. One sample vocal music should be sung for each musical period.
c. Each song should belong to a different period. For example, Ut Queant Laxis (Medieval) and Of All The Birds That I
Do Know (Renaissance).
d. Provide a simple harmonic/percussive accompaniment of the songs. It could be done by playing a guitar, piano,
tambourine, and others.
e. The minimum performance time for each choir is 6 minutes and the maximum is 10 minutes.
f. Appropriate and decent costumes/props are expected during the performance.
