Dear A-levels Coordinator,

I am writing this letter to request withdrawal from the A-level Biology and A-level Physics
courses.

This might not sound very prudent, as most universities prefer three A-levels as a minimum

subject combination. However, due to my lack of foundation and inability to perform well
in these subjects, I would like to drop them so that I can focus on doing better in fewer
subjects. I have made this decision after several discussions with my parents and much self-
evaluation. I find it too difficult to cope with four subjects at the same time, so I want
to concentrate on my two remaining subjects.

Please approve this request and allow me to pursue my remaining A-level courses

in Mathematics and Chemistry.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours sincerely,

Dear [name of teacher],

I would like to inform you of my intent to drop your course this semester. I
would like to take this opportunity to let you know that my decision to drop this
class did not have anything to do with you or your teaching style. In fact, I look
forward to being able to participate in future classes taught by you.

The decision to drop this class at this time is a completely personal one. I do
not have the time to properly devote to this class, and would prefer not to
waste either your time or mine when I am not able to fully commit.

Thank you for the time that you did spend with me, and I hope to be able to
attend future classes with you.

Sincerely,
Dear Mrs. Paderna,

I am writing this letter to inform you of my intention to drop Chem 17 and Chem 17.1 this semester. I
would like to drop these subjects due to lack of understanding and incompetence to perform well. In
addition to that, I was placed in a section full of Chemical engineering students and their style and pace
of learning is more advanced and is quite fast paced compared to mine. In all honesty, I am having a
hard time coping up with my classmates and it has negatively affected my mental state.

Moreover, I believe this is also an ideal opportunity to inform you of my plan to shift out of my current
degree program. With that being said, I do not see the relevance of studying further and deeper into
Chemistry as I plan to shift possibly into a BA degree program.

I have discussed this decision thoroughly with my parents and I’m planning to email my professors after
you grant me permission to drop their subject.

I am hoping for your understanding and consideration to grant my request and to confirm my dropping
application afterwards in CRS. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Shanna Rose M. Fetalino

Dear Ms. Fajiculay,

I am writing this letter to inform you of my intent to drop your class this semester. I would like to let you
know that this has nothing to do with you nor your teaching style. I would like to drop this subject due
to my lack of foundation and incompetence to perform well in your class. In all honesty, I am having a
hard time coping up with my classmates and it has negatively affected my mental state. They are quick
to pick up and understand new information as opposed to how I learn and my pace of learning.

I have discussed this thoroughly with my parents and after lots of self-realization. I am hoping for your
understanding and consideration to grant my request. Thank you.

In line with this, I would like to inform you that I will not be taking the mid term exam this coming
Monday.

Sincerely,

Shanna Rose M. Fetalino

Dear Ms. Regulacio,

I am writing this letter to inform you of my intent to drop your class this semester. I would like to let you
know that this has nothing to do with you or your teaching style. I would like to drop this subject due to
my lack of foundation and incompetence to perform well in your class. In all honesty, being classmates
with Chemical Engineering students has made me feel anxious and because of that I have been having a
hard time coping up and understanding the topics.

I have discussed this thoroughly with my parents and after lots of self-realization. I am hoping for your
understanding and consideration to grant my request. Thank you.

In line with this, may I know the score I got for the first long examination?

Sincerely,

Shanna Rose M. Fetalino
