5th March 2017
The current generation is in the midst of a technological revolution that will drastically change
our lives for better and potentially redefine what it means to be human.
I would like to introduce myself as Ankit Jaiswal, an engineering undergraduate from India. In
the field of Embedded System, there are innovations that keep evolving not only technically but also hold
infinite scope for creativity and logic. The desire inside me for exploring this wonderful field of Electronics
has never ever ceased. But I realized on my pursuit of academic excellence in the field of Embedded
System that, it is a must to do a Masters’ degree in Europe. Germany is one of those countries that stand
at the center of the computing universe. Studying in Germany will thus give me not only a greater range of
professional skills but also a much broader, more international perspective.
I always feel that knowledge and research can never be complete just within the syllabus and
textbooks. This hunger for knowledge has not only made me master my syllabus, but also made me do
several projects, and gain a plethora of experience by working and heading in several organizations. I have
done 3 projects during my Undergraduate study, which are: B.E project: - “Optical Signal Interface Based
on Light Interferomemory Principle”, 8085 microprocessor based project “8- Candidate Quiz Buzzer” &
“Zener Diode Tester”.
Leadership is a skill which has been my strength all throughout my life. I am the founder and
CEO of ‘ThinkMile Learning Solutions LLP’. We started our services on 1st July 2015. We help Engineering
Students who are weak in Studies & are not able to clear engineering exams. I have been teaching such
students from last 5 years & so came up with this idea. As I have been teaching for the past 5 years, I feel I
can vouch well for the Teaching Assistantship (TA) program as well. I also worked as PCB Designer at Vital
Electronics & Manufacturing Company, from 11th August 2015 till 9th December 2016 (1 year & 4 months’
experience). I have worked on CADSTAR 16 Software for PCB Designing. Apart from this, I have worked on
GC PowerStation software for generating files for Solder Inspection machine, Gerber Viewing, Gerber
editing etc. I also know how to operate Solder Inspection Machine.
I am someone who is not restricted to the paths of academics. It is in my nature to explore all
the corners of the sphere to discover and enhance myself. I have been volunteering for last 3 years for
Anmol NGO which supports street children. I have also volunteered for Earth5R which focuses on
Environmental Problems & volunteered for Don Bosco NGO in December 2015 for their Christmas Mela.
I am the Founder and Former College Representative of Entrepreneurship-Cell of DMCE for
E-Cell, IIT BOMBAY. I organized PRE-EUREKA B-PLAN WORKSHOP & ENSPIRE 2015 in college. I managed
the tasks of NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE organized by IIT BOMBAY and UC Browser and
thus, could achieved all India Position 16.
In addition to this, I also served as an active IEEE member for two years and have been a part
of IEEE DMCE College Committee. In addition to the courses that I have taken, I have been very active
outside of the classroom, participating in extracurricular activities to broaden my horizons. Won the Prize
for Best Initiative Award for Starting E-Cell in College, won 1st prize at Pre-E-Summit Envoyage workshop
held by E-Cell IIT Bombay & won 3rd
P rize in Robotics Line Follower Robot Competition.
Few of the notable strengths I have is the ability to remain unflappable even in the toughest
of pressurized situations, the ability and drive to achieve excellence in any given aspect, and most
importantly the ability to stay calm and concentrate hard in intense environments successfully. The very
thought of conducting independent research, to develop your thoughts and ideas regarding a field that
deeply interests you drives me to the epitome of my happiness. Attending extracurricular activities and
meetings, hearing from guest speakers and lecturers, and often benefitting from one-on-one supervision,
ensures plenty of opportunities to engage with your subject from multiple angles, which leads to in-depth
understanding of the subject.
If I am given the prestigious opportunity to join your Embedded System Master’s program, I
will be able to utilize my extensive academic background, while learning additional skills and techniques
that will be greatly beneficial to my future career development. I am eager to explore this field in the
presence of the esteemed professors at your university. After researching your program, I am aware of the
quality of education that is available at your university, and this has been one of the key factors which
have motivated me to pursue this program, as the challenges and opportunities available at your
university will allow my potential to grow multiple bounds.
After I graduate from my Masters’ program, I believe I will be equipped to high international
standards which will make thrive successfully in the evergreen field of Embedded System. Hence Master’s
program in Embedded System in your highly-reputed university will allow me to achieve these goals, and I
therefore greatly appreciate and thank your consideration of my application.
