2. update participants on the latest / future trends in the industry;
3. gather ideas through research outputs of Computer Engineers for their Design Project;
4. enhance competencies of Computer Engineering students through competitions.
QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED BY STUDENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO

PROFESSOR
1. What are the latest/future trends in the industry being mentioned in the event?
The ever-increasing adoption of deep learning accelerators in the areas of
transportation, advanced security, and technologies for humanity. Fueled by advanced
materials, adoption of virtual reality and the Internet of Bodies.
2. Have you gathered ideas on the research outputs presented by the Computer
Engineers?
I listed all possible topics they had presented, for me to study and made my
mind popped up some ideas regarding of what will the title of my thesis be.
3. Have you meet your expectations in this event?

From all the events I attended, it all exceeded my expectation for I’ve gained a
lot of knowledge from different aspects of technology and innovation. It widened my
vocabulary towards greater heights, especially with all the research outputs that had
been discussed by different computer engineers, it helped me to get ideas about how I
can come up with my design project.
4. Where you encourage by the speakers?

Throughout all the events I went to, never did the speakers disappoint me. I
listened and been fed up with such interesting topics that they had presented.
5. Have you learned something that improves your learning skills?

To sum up all the events I went throughout, I have learned many things such
things as, when it comes to generating topics for a catchy thesis title, composite better
research through the use of numerous resources, being extra careful of piracy and
crime that comes from the internet, and more. This allowed me to write more
extensively on the topic I had chosen which in turn helped expand my research paper.
Before I was struggling on choosing between my topics, but everything else became
easier.

What were three main things I learned from this session?

Issues that interested me a lot, and that I would like to study in more detail

The knowledge that I have attained throughout the seminars and field trips I went to,
has proved to be crucial in forming my passion for learning and my interests in developing
my abilities and using them to make a difference in my program. Looking back, I see myself
as an excited, conscientious and avid learner motivated by understanding every session I
listened to. I’ve come to improve my skills and deepen my understanding towards innovation
and technology. It’s about taking risks, small ones to start with. Not being afraid of failure,
otherwise you won’t achieve anything. All the ideas, research topics and encouragement
made by the Computer Engineers helped me grow as a person in several aspects of my life
and showed me what it really meant to think outside the box. It helped me develop a sense of
self-confidence and purpose that has benefited me in coming up with my requirements,
research title especially with my software and design project.
My educational experience as a whole has also taught me many important lessons and
virtues. At some points in my academic career, there were times where I struggled towards
what to do with my software and learning towards a variety of reasons. Yet, through these
events I learned many lessons that were very applicable, helped me to attain a better
understanding of virtues such as patience and perseverance, both of which I had very little of
in the primitive stages of my educational development.
Overall, as I reach the end of one stage of my educational experience, I have learned
to value every aspect of the experience and appreciate all the knowledge and attributes that I
have gained because of it. Because without this profound educational experience, I would be
missing some of the core values that have led me to become the person that I am today.
